Rest (Patreon)

Some days there is nothing more revolutionary than a woman at rest. We try to make this one of our goals for Saturday while we’re getting ready: protect some time for resting. If O and I are frazzled and stressed the whole party has that energy. We realized early on that part of our service to our coven was arriving rested and ready, so it’s a priority for us. Here’s O doing an excellent job enjoying some bubbles and afternoon sun on the balcony.

My heartfelt request for you if you’re a woman or a caregiver of any kind is to make some space for rest this weekend. True rest. Maybe it’s a little extra sleep, or some time reading, sitting outside, saying no to something… I hope you can make a little space for the revolutionary act of NOT over-functioning. Rest up babies! It’s for the good of the realm!
