Max overheard Eden telling Betty that the crop was purchased from an equine supply store. “It’s actually for horses!” Why oh why did that somehow make this toy more enticing? (Probably because it made it seem more cruel to use it on a sweet little girl.)

I was trying to be good so I waited until Betty was finished with it, and then I brought Max the crop. She was watching from the sideIines, entertained, sipping her beer. I handed her the crop and smiled playfully, dropping to my knees. I turned around and wiggled my butt at her.

That fucking real-live-purchased-from-the-fucking-equine-store crop HURT.

(It was delightful, I love being her favourite toy.)
