Color or black & white

For our first two tips, see our post from last week.

3. Upright function
Don't forget to straighten your image. Pay attention to the background when correcting the upright - walls can be very helpful to align the image correctly.

4. High ISO
In winter you should shoot with more ISO because it is quite dark. If you shoot with very high ISO, again black and white processing is preferable. One reason is that you don't have a problem with dynamic range and you can work better with noise reduction. My tip is to make the amount sharpness (about 30) and luminance (about 70-80) total 100. This way you get a smoother and nicer result. An alternative to this is to set an additional grain in the effects (strength 30, size 40, irregularity 50). You will get a classy black and white look that is a bit more contrasty.

5. Different light color
When you have different lighting situations, pay attention to the different light temperatures. Especially when you work with artificial light, there are different color temperatures. If you have warm light and cool light in a photo that doesn't match, it's best to go for the black and white look. This is a super nice variation to an image with different color or light temperatures.
