What’s in my bag? - Camera settings

For our last two tips, see our post from last week. 

1. Mode
I recommend that you always shoot in manual mode.

2. Aperture
Use an open aperture of 1.4 - 2.8. For portraits, I usually shoot very open aperture because of the incredible sharpness. For boudoir and nudes, I move between 1.6 and 1.8, sometimes 1.4. If you need more depth of field or a little more latitude, set the aperture to 2.5 or 2.8. If you don't have a lens that is that fast, shoot as open aperture as possible, so 2.8 for example.

3. Exposure time
I set the exposure time, or shutter speed, to 2 hundredths of a second for indoor shots. I never go below this 2 hundredths of a second, because otherwise the blink of an eye is out of focus.

4. Iso
I always set the ISO to Auto, but I'll explain more about that in another video.

Unsere letzten beiden Tipps finden Sie in unserem Beitrag von letzter Woche. 

1. Modus
Ich empfehle Dir, dass Du immer im manuellen Modus fotografierst.

2. Blende
Verwende eine Offenblende von 1,4 - 2,8. Bei Portraits fotografiere ich meist sehr offenblendig, aufgrund der unfassbaren Schärfe. Bei Boudoir und Akt Aufnahmen bewege ich zwischen 1,6 und 1,8, manchmal 1,4. Wenn Du mehr Tiefenschärfe oder ein bisschen mehr Spielraum brauchst, dann stelle die Blende auf 2,5 oder 2,8. Wenn Du kein Objektiv hast, das so lichtstark ist, dann fotografiere so offenblendig wie möglich, also zum Beispiel 2,8.

3. Belichtungszeit
Die Belichtungszeit, also Shutter Speed, stelle ich bei Indoor Aufnahmen auf eine 2hundertstel Sekunde. Unter diese 2hundertsel Sekunde schalte ich nie herunter, weil sonst der Wimpernschlag unscharf ist.

4. Iso
Ich schalte die ISO immer auf Auto. aber dazu erkläre ich in einem anderen Video mehr.
