Seven food groups? Now I can see more clearly what a thankless task it is to organize food into groups. Peaches and corn together, but not apples? Okay, meat and beans together make some sense. I remember, decades ago, seeing a wall chart that divided all life forms into not 2 (animal and plant) or even 3 kingdoms (Add transitional microorganisms.), but 5 kingdoms. The slime mold kingdom? Really? Okay, so all such constructs are artificial. To someone they're helpful.
