Comic Art! Summer Moon: Pages 025-026 (Patreon)

Ukyo feels lost… until she crosses paths with a fellow lostie!

Ryoga is trying to get back on track, but his emotions threaten to erupt like the volcano on this island!

Production notes:

Remastered in 4K UHD.

Numerous art fixes.

Complete background replacement.

Some improved FX timings for Ryoga in the final panel of Page 025.

Page 026 is a unique case: The RHB team has restored original art that had previously been drawn by our artists, but left out of the final book. You can spot this on the first panel where Ryoga is literally seeing red in the form of fire.

The revelation of Akane and Ranma having taken the next step in their relationship was intended to invoke intense jealousy from Ryoga. At the time, we worried that nuclear reaction would deflate the lovely romantic tone intended for the "Ukyoga" couple. Yet the passing years have a way of altering one's perspective. Upon review, the team felt that we had ultimately robbed the characters of their ability to process all lingering negative feelings and recognizing toxic behaviors. So for the 2026 Edition, we have restored that "lost art" and restructured the presentation to go to those uncomfortable places.

We've dropped Ukyo's request for Ryoga to have a "man-to-man" chat with Ranma as unnecessary and out of character. It doesn't make sense for Ryoga to confront his negative feelings while Ukyo attempts to avoid her own. Instead they decide how to deal with those feelings as a couple.

Ultimately, this 2026 presentation remains faithful to the original script and realigns the characters with their full feelings and motivations. For those curious about the old build of Summer Moon, we've included those pages in the attached archive.

Dialog Balloons and text have been redone, which should result in easier reading.

Until next time patrons, thanks for reading our comic! As one of the RHB's big projects for 2026, Summer Moon shall receive all the TLC from the RHB team that we can muster! We hope you'll join us here on the island. Much love and gratitude for the continued support!

REMINDER: Be sure to check the attached archive for the absolute best quality images with no compression! And please freely share this comic at other gallery websites to help spread the word about the Ranmabooks projects. The RHB has hit its 20th anniversary milestone in 2026. There's a new anime available on Netflix and more interest in Ranma than it has had in a long time. With each new person who supports this Patreon, the better the odds the RHB continues for the next 20 years!
