I do seem to remember Kunou ended up with a compulsion to immediately attack anything that looked like a watermelon, with his bokken, like an instant berserk button. This is a bit of a twist on that, I suppose... although maybe he should have been lunging after them to "attack" them in a different sense? 🤔

Could you be more specific about those numbers? Not following the question because there's not enough context. Are you referring to panels in the comic page? Images in the set? Please elaborate.

I was off in my numbers anyway in the set what's the difference between image 1 and image 3? It seems to be the same pose and bikini.

If the understanding is right, image 3 is the same as Image 1 in terms of costumes, but the text is left off. It's a clean edition. Apologies if I misunderstood. If having issues with the Patreon viewer, be sure to download the attached archive as that has every variant in it.

If this had been a multi-page comic, very likely we could have leaned even more into this, but yes the gag is that Kuno becomes a "berserk judge" at the sight of the watermelon bikini, instantly awarding the prize instead of having a fair contest. A likely response to Kuno getting grabby with his man sword would have been another beatdown from the gals, but that seemed rather redundant given we had already showed this outcome in the second Beach Bash installment. So glad you picked up on this callback though!
