Blink of an Aya | Page 1: Extraction (Patreon)

It begins!

Welcome to Blink of an Aya!

Yes, the name is a bit silly, but I'm comfortable with that. My runner-up choices were "Jumble Aya," "Aya the Tiger," or "Aya the Hurricane", so if she ever gets into roller derby I have some great candidates.

Kinda sad that this particular opening page is just as relevant in 2025 as it was when I wrote it in 2012. We do love our memes.

It's possible some of the OGs out there may be able to identify which of the two strips these comics came from, but they have existed only on my hard drive for the past 10+ years, so maybe not! I'll also be doing some other tricks to weave the two stories together. It worked out pretty nicely, almost like they were meant to be one project.

Maybe if I had figured all that out back when I was releasing these, things would have gone differently!
