Hi!

This week I made some much needed changes to my lifestyle. Specifically, I’ve been getting more sleep and drinking more water. I’ve had one health issue after another and I think some of it can be traced back to not taking care of myself like I should. So, I’m hopeful that this coming week will get me back on track with my writing.

I spent some time being overwhelmed this week as I considered finishing book 10 in the next forty-five days. It seems impossible to me, but I think that is just the evil voice we all have in our head that wants us to fail at everything. So, I’m going to keep at it and see if I can get my new process to work smoothly. I’m hoping my lifestyle choices have a large impact as well.

I still haven’t heard back from the map designer. I’ll ping her tomorrow for an update. Hopefully I didn’t scare her away with the small changes I asked for. Also, I didn’t get the books mailed out this week (see health issues I referenced above). I will make this a top priority this week. I’m really sorry about that.

I opened up System of Ash chapter 20 and book 10 chapters 9 and 10 for Root.

I opened up System of Ash chapter 21 and book 10 chapter 11 for Harvester.

I added book 10 chapters 12, 13, and 14 for Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, Divine, and Axiom.

This isn't really my business, but please consider that: 1. Taking on a huge amount of stress (such as trying to finish almost an entire book in 6 weeks) is a health factor too. I of course wish you full health, but trying to make the deadline might be what eventually causes you to miss it. 2. Trying to write the book in such a short time might hurt the end result. Less time to plan out and write, less time for edits and fixes. It all might result in a story that doesn't flow as well as it could have with some plot holes and inconsistencies. You'll end up with an audiobook, but the book reviews might not be as great. You're the only one who knows what's best for you, and missing Travis's deadline would suck (and probably hurt sales), but reading the updates from the last few weeks makes me wonder if it's a deadline worth pursuing. Of course, if this what you want to do, then I stand by you and wish you success.

Take care of your health my man. That’s always first. Try to eat better, drink more water, go outside for a walk. Even go to the gym. It’s important to find some healthy stress relieving activities

You already work incredibly hard. If you are thinking something may be impossible, then, please, don't discount that it really may be. It would help no one if you finished the book but your health is destroyed. If you have to select between the book and your health, please choose your health. It is not a failure. It is what should be for true success. If just postponing a book for a little while will ensure a measure of health, then I'd say you're paying a very cheap price for health. That's my two cents worth, but I'd like you to be around and healthy for the entire series, 🤣 and, of course, for the more important things and people like your family. You are in my prayer. Please get well and stay well. I suspect you are concerned about your spot scheduled with Travis. I don't know how that may play out, but I'm praying and hoping that will work out too.

I have noticed that in these most recent chapters you are keeping the joy and happiness alive in the books. In my experience, that's hard to do when you are facing stress and pain in real life. Thank you!
