April 16, 2022 - Update (Patreon)

Hello!

As I near the end of book six, I’m once again amazed at my own inability to plan effectively. I had intended to make book six about the same length as Shade’s First Rule in an effort to release the book quicker. I have already pushed two story arcs into book seven, and I STILL ended up massively overshooting my intended word count.

In fact, right now, the only books longer than this one are books two and of course four. But I still have at least ten more chapters left which will easily put me over book two’s word count. So I aimed for my shortest work, and hit just below my longest. Sheesh.

I know you don’t mind, and I don’t that much either. It is better to tell the story as it should be, then rush to fit a timeline or word count. Still, you’d think I would be better at this by now.

I opened up chapters 69, 70, and 71 to Root.

I opened up chapters 72, 73, 74, and 75 to Harvester.

I added chapters 76, 77, and 78 to Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, and Divine.
