(WIP) C. Viper Riding - Animation (Patreon)
Content
I'm working on a full pinup set with her currently, but took a small break from it to test out some physics stuff. Which means I needed something to move... and well, I got a bit carried away.
This was purely meant to be a primitive animation, but I ended up liking what I was doing so much I kept at it and plan on finishing it. I haven't baked the physics yet, so what you're seeing is just the bare bones animation for now. I've gotta leave a bit of a surprise for the end, you know? Besides, I'm not quite finished with all the jiggles and plan on adding more to it regardless. Not quite sure on the placement of things like her hands since there wasn't much of and idea behind it, or anything to reference when starting it for that matter. However, on top of finally trying out some simulations and getting back to learning new things, Viper's model is ridiculously optimized. With that, and presumably also because of updating blender to 5.0 with it's many improvements, I can achieve 60fps easily during playback. Not only is this alone just fucking amazing, but the immediate improvement to my animation skills because of it feels fantastic. It allows me to have instant feedback if something isn't working, rather than feeling good about something only to have it look jerky and unrealistic once rendered.
It's been a blast just doing things for fun and have a ridiculous amount of other ideas that I plan to flesh out soon. Along with maybe getting back to some unfinished work like the Manon and Angela animations, especially now that I have some experience with physics systems and quite liked where they were going. Considering they where both created with the focus on something "bouncing", I would like to tackle them again with that in mind. It does seem like I'm ready for a lot more than I was expecting and would love to make animations as such more frequently. Hopefully in the end I can finally start to make long form animations with a proper script and voice acting. Especially now that I'm finding a better workflow and mindset with my work. I still have some models that I am really looking forward to making as well, such as Deadlock models I mentioned before, and Grace/Alyssa Ashcroft now that RE9 is finally out. I'm excited to get around to starting it in my downtime. I definitely have some plans regarding it. Love me some Capcom girls.
Looking at you, Grace. You and your damn heel adjusting, awkward, sweaty, nerdy girl ass.
With all that, I did not mean for this to be as long of a ramble as it is. I'm simply overjoyed to share these things with you all finally. I have more motivation, inspiration, and determination than ever before. Not only to get better and improve my skills, but to learn new things again and feel excited to put them into action. For the longest time I had so many ideas and things I wanted to do or further flesh out, but no idea how to do so. Any attempts in the past to continue to learn felt like a distraction and if I wasn't focusing completely on making content, I was wasting the little time I could manage. I became complacent with where I was, because it was "good enough", but "good enough" isn't enough for me anymore. I've always strived to be better in any way I can and I'm not going to let myself fall to where I was before.
In the end, it's pretty amazing the progress and things you can achieve when your brain actually functions properly.
Stay tuned.
