The Hokage’s office was bathed in midday light. Naruto slipped through the window, the forbidden scroll tucked under his arm. The room was empty, the sun illuminating the filing cabinets. He knelt in the center, anxiously unrolling the ancient paper.

“This technique will make me the strongest ninja,” he whispered, smiling.

The doors burst open. Shizune entered panting, her kimono fluttering from the run.

“Naruto, drop that!”

Too late. The characters on the scroll glowed crimson, enveloping them in a blinding flash.

When the light faded, Naruto blinked. He felt the different weight, the strange texture. He looked down and saw Shizune’s kimono, the folds spreading over a figure he didn’t recognize.

“What…?” He touched his chest, his eyes wide.

Shizune stared in horror from his body, touching her own clothes with disgust.

“Impossible!” This is strange. “We swapped bodies—or rather, heads!”

Naruto opened the kimono wider, astonished.

“Don’t do that,” Shizune growled, crossing her arms uncomfortably. “Can’t you see we’ve switched bodies?! You read a forbidden jutsu. It swapped our bodies.”

Naruto pinched his new chest, curiously.

“This is… too real to be the sexy jutsu,” he murmured.

Shizune tried to form hand seals. Nothing.

“It’s not working,” she frowned. “You can’t do it either, can you?”

Naruto tried to create a clone. No chakra responded.

“Nothing.”

Shizune picked up the scroll from the floor and read it intently.

“To reverse it, completely relax the body.” She dropped the scroll. “Hot springs. Natural ones. With no people around.”

Naruto adjusted his kimono, feeling disheartened with his own head on her body.

“I know of some hidden hot springs.”

“Then let’s go,” Shizune sighed, moving awkwardly in her new body. “And stop… inspecting yourself like that.”

“Like this?” Naruto scratched himself down below out of involuntary reflex and was surprised to find he wasn’t wearing anything underneath.

“Naruto!” she shouted, pushing him toward the door.
