If you notice she caught the blade from behind, which is way more difficult. This part of the story is hard to understand in the anime, because there is missing lot of explanation what had happened in the fight at the end.

Shalltear was just looking people who can use martial arts because Ains wanted those people for himself. So Shalltear was on a mission to "convert" them to Nazarick. Next two episodes will be good. Also I believe Solution (the woman with Sebas) is a slime I think, so very distant cousin of Rimuru.

oh I was really confused in this episode, maybe we get to see a bit more in the next one, explaining what exactly happened to Shalltear there 🤔

oh wow I see ok, then why was she just killing them though 😂 I thought she lost control of herself and just wanted to suck their blood. 😱 ohh a slime!! I hope she is as cute as Rimuru, help me forget about shalltear 😭😂

Solutions full name is Solution Epsilon she is another of the 7 battle maids like Nabe who are considered "sister" but technically are all different types of monsters. And as for shaltear's actions in the game she had a skill blood frenzy that powered her up but in this new world it apparently has the side effect of making her lose control. It's something the anime never covers directly but it's why she acted that way.

wow so her losing control is a side effect 😱 thank you so much for explaining it! I really appreciate it, it helps me understand the anime even better with everyone's help 🥰🤗

Solution is part of a race from Yggdrasil called a Predatory Slime and was created by member of Ains Ooal Gown guild HiroHiro (who was in the first episode). Like most predatory slimes, she eats humans. She is also somewhat cruel to them as she eats them, keeping them alive insider her as she slowly dissolves them. Shalltear's mission in this episode was to capture human criminals with abilities similar to Clementine's and take them to Nazarick because Ainz had never seen abilities like Clementine's before and wanted to learn more about them by capturing and studying humans. (He sent them after criminals because he figured the human government wouldn't care if they disappeared). Oh, by the way, the rule for the Nazarick NPCs is if a creature was created by one of the 41 players of the Ainz Ooal Gown guild they will treat that creature as an equal even it is weak, but if they can create minions themselves they may treat them with cruelty as Shalltear does to the vampires she creates herself. Some of the Nazarick NPCs are nicer than Shalltear though.

until now I haven't seen solution, I guess she comes later maybe, that is so horrible she tortures the people she eats 😭 can't wait to see how she looks lol this explains why she was treating her servants like that! I see 😲 very interesting information! I'm still learning a lot about overlord! thank you so much 🥰💖

I remember when I watched your Overlord op reaction, then you said "oh she's a loli" or "so cute" and I was like.. yeah... lol

that was a total shock to me, seeing Shalltear's form. this is when I started to not trust appearances in overlord 😂

Tarvo27

How dare you call the best girl, Shalltear, ugly!? >:( I'm joking of course, even though she does look very different (and scary) in her Lamprey form, I still think she's super cute normally. I love her outfit style a lot.

that's my first impression when I watched the opening is that she is a cute loli haha until I saw this other form 😱
