JOTARO VS DIO (/≧▽≦)/ THE FINAL SHOWDOWN!!!! This was super PEAK!!! I loved this fight between Jotaro and Dio. ANDDDD Part 3 is over 😭 I'm gonna miss them all ❤️

An interesting detail to catch after finishing the part is that the opening of this part actually shows you what happens to the characters. When the characters are shown as silhouettes, it shows Polnareff, Avdol, and Iggy going up a set of stairs, but Avdol and Iggy are red, and Polnareff is blue, hinting Avdol's and Iggy's death. Next you see Kakyoin setting up the Emerald Splash trap, but it shatters. Next is Joseph, where a streak of light goes to his neck, just like Dio's knife. Finally, Jotaro is shown frozen in stopped time, with a bunch of streaks of light going all over him, hinting at Dio's many knife attack. Just a neat easter egg that some people miss!

There’s one other thing dio didn’t know each major arcana of the tarot represents something and the star (also the birth tarot of Aquarius’s like me and jotaro) symbolizes hope and that’s something that can never be killed no matter how powerful you are dio!

Been a blast watching part 3 again along with you Sprinkle, Stardust Crusaders is the most iconic part in JoJo and seeing it from start to end has been a really good reminded for why that is. Also "Growel, DIO, growel!"? Wow, you REALLY hated his guts, huh? 😅 Also, a word about future parts and some trivia. Thanks to Araki being a huge fan of western music going forwards a lot of the stands and characters will have references into music, bands and songs in their names. We had some of that in part 3, one example being Vanilla Ice being named after rapper of the same name, and another example is DIO himself. He is named after metal singer Ronald James Dio. Now, one of RJ Dio's songs is called Holy Diver. And if you look at The World, notice how it looks like it is wearing diving gear on its back? Anyway, the musical references really kick into gear going into part 4, so because of copyright a lot of the official subtitles had to be, obviously, censored with alternate names and stuff like that. The dialogue still uses the correct names. So if I can throw out a suggestion, going into part 4 one thing to keep an eye out for is a version of JoJo with copyright free subtitles to get all the names right. Usually these are fanmade. Looking forward to Diamond is Unbreakable. 👍

It was an amazing journey to watch with you Sprinkle. Thank you for sharing these experiences with us. Part 3 is rising higher for me as I rewatch this. Part 2 is my favorite; however, time will tell. Gah! Who is ready for the next part!

Because of the anime needing to mash a bunch of dialogue into a certain amount of space, it doesn't really look like it, but when Dio and Jotaro are meant to be "flying" around, its supposed to be them punching the ground or walls around them with their stands and launching off of them. Because anime time can be so funky, the translation from the manga panels to anime was a bit hard to translate properly, haha
