As crazy as it sounds, Momiji actually took a ridiculously long time to develop as a fetus, like, three whole centuries just to be born. That process ended up draining a lot of Kaede’s power. Then, when Momiji was finally born, Kaede gave her a name, and that pretty much used up almost all the energy she had left. I just hope Rimuru does something about Kaede’s condition eventually so she, Hakuro, and Momiji can live happily ever after together😭😭.

I don't think Hakuro left Kaede, I think it was most likely the other way around. Or at least, they both simply chose to go their separate ways and live their own lives. When they met and fell in love, Kaede was staying in the Ogre village to train. After her training was complete, she probably chose to move to the mountains where the Tengu now reside and Hakuro just chose to stay in his home village. Given how long Kaede was pregnant with Momiji, it is likely she did not even know she was pregnant when she left and Hakuro definitely did not know as we see in this episode.
