War is brutal, It is even more Brutal when Tanya finds a way to circumvent wartime laws, not sure if you picked up on it but the paper Tanya wrote is her interpretation of international and wartime laws, she basically found all the loopholes to make artillery strikes on occupied cities and attacks on civilians "legal" You might wonder why she would do this, Tanya is all about the rules but she will bend them to win so she can survive in this world.

Being X has found a piece to use against Tanya. So Tanya prays to "God" to get power, now Colonel Sue prays to Being X to get power to fight Tanya.

Think these wartime regulations are due an update every time Tanya steps onto the battlefield. A genius at warfare to say the least.

SprinkleVerse

yes exactly! he is really so pathetic this being X 😓

SprinkleVerse

I think I didn't understand that part about the wartime laws, but I see now. thank you for pointing it out 😆

Kurato Wakiru

I love that she unintentionally re-enact the "go, do a (war)crime" meme to Grantz. but yeah, technically everything she done was within legal territory, hence "my hand is clean". And you can't even fault her on morality either, the militant are using civilians who can't afford to leave as shield, intentionally or not, killed an unarmed POW and were warned that they'll be treated as combatant.

SprinkleVerse

yea I could understand what's going on this episode I couldn't say she is evil for attacking them because the other side was at fault too for not evacuating the civilians earlier 😭

Maxim the Brave

i kinda love the ending song for this one, they changed it just for this episode. after so many episodes of really heavy, energised openings/endings, this felt like a breath of fresh air, but also so sad, acknowledging that, even if you cross your 't's and dot your 'i's and completely shed as much responsibility as you can... human life is still so important, and that loss of innocence, loss of life, is a despairing thing

Wayte Elsik

It wasn't that they didn't evacuate. Those people lived there from the start and the Empire invaded and captured their home. They wanted to push the empire out and become part of the republic again. Since they were stuck in empire controlled territory they really couldn't leave because they had nowhere else to go the only way to escape would be to try and cross the front lines at the Rhine and that would be just as deadly. They felt it better to stay where they were and just got unlucky that Tanya has no concern for the lives of others.

SprinkleVerse

oh wow I see 😭 thank you for explaining that situation. 💖
