Aye that was very risky Loid. The big bad seems very bad in a sense... Still, he helped our little man speak to his father. Yeah, the manga barely pass 100 chapters, so it doesn't have much to go for it. However, I bet you will love the movie once you finish the 2nd season.

The movie isn't canon. I dunno if it's any good, I haven't seen it yet (but I do intend to watch it). I wouldn't say the manga 'barely' passed 100 chapters though. It's at like 120+ and there's enough material for a 3rd season, which starts in October. I've personally been reading the manga since even before an anime was announced. Just picked it out randomly and it seemed interesting, I was surprised it was actually really popular (probably the most popular manga that was running that didn't have an anime or anime announcement yet).

Yeah I started reading it when it came out. Kinda stopped so I can read more later. Most of the chapters are side bits. I think the movie fits a bit in the timeline. I'd enjoyed it. A lot more than I expected

When I first saw this episode, I thought the pacing was a little too fast. I was relieved that things didn’t change much and that Donovan seemed like “final boss” material. That way, there’s more time for characterization and interesting storylines. I also really enjoy the slice-of-life elements of this show. It’s what Tensura could have been if Yuuki hadn’t stirred up trouble and sped up the plot in season 2.
