You can hear The Blue Spirit's theme song at the very beginning of the episode, as a cart rolls by with a mask of the blue spirit, just a few notes, foreshadowing at the return of Zuko putting the mask on at the end of the episode again!

I’m glad you’re enjoying the show so far, I’m happy that I suggested it! In my opinion Book 2 is a huuuge step up from Book 1. Book 1 was great, but after these first few episodes, Book 2 just gets so much better. I’m excited!

SprinkleVerse

wow it gets even better? I'm excited too! this show is a lot of fun 🥰

I wonder what Zuko is up to now by putting the mask 😆 I'm so looking forward to the coming episodes!

Book 1 is when the show is still kinda establishing its identity. But books 2 and 3 are generally considered to be better. And yes, book 1 is already pretty great overall. That said... books 2 and 3 wouldn't have been possible if book 1 didn't do such a good job establishing the world and most of the main cast.

I really like how the show handles Zuko's character. It would be easy to just "flip a switch" and have him suddenly change his entire world view when it's convenient. But they regularly demonstrate just how difficult it is for Zuko to change. He was raised a prince under a powerful regime, most likely had his head filled with all sorts of propaganda from his father about fire nation superiority. A father who he desperately wants to receive love from. A father who permanently scarred him for wanting to avoid violence. But just like in real life... You can't just stop wanting to love and be loved by a parent, many such stories. It's a very mature portrayal of what a young person like him would be struggling with in his position.

His story is what made me grow to like him, I didn't care for him at the start but after seeing so much about him I just want him to find his way and be happy 🥹

Tend to think the Banyan tree is a spirit. Leaning towards it being a tree becoming a spirit after living for so long.
