Sir Elderock Komdragon

They captured some of the people who came though the gate and it has been a few months since then language experts would be on to try to learn their language early a small transition booklet like that would exist at this point they would just likely be incomplete and full of errors

SBS_Sunshine

i'm using browser and this episode is not appearing for me? but the rest are working fine...weird. xD

SBS_Sunshine

SprinkleVerse

Heyy! Sorry about that, it seems that at some point today some videos stopped working, anyway, I just reuploaded episodes 2 & 4 both had the same problem. 😭 Let me know if you have anymore issues💖

SBS_Sunshine

Ah ok! thanks for the quick fix! have a great day/night! :D

SprinkleVerse

Thank you for your patience! and you too have a great day 🥰

Skappy

Did they show or mention capturing anyone? The entire time I was wondering why they didn't try to do that to learn more or relay messages because it seemed like they know very little about the world and made no attempt to communicate before reaching the village

Sir Elderock Komdragon

They mention it in passing within the first episode I think it is in the one of the newspapers or news shows.

That is one thing I hadn't expected going into this anime the first time. It is highly focused on politicking. Not politics, politicking. And I love it for that so much. Later seasons of Overlord get into that as well and it's something I personally enjoy, but I acknowledge its not for everyone.

SprinkleVerse

ohhh that's how they got a booklet! I see I missed that detail 😆 thank you for the clarification 🥰

SprinkleVerse

I totally remembered overlord while watching these episodes lol especially when the princess came in, she reminds me a bit of the prince from Overlord 😆

As a bit of history the tatic the emperor used of burning the villages and poisoning wells is one used a lot in war long ago. He's not killing the villages he's making people leave and destroying them to keep the enemy for getting food water and support from them. He's still a bad guy but that isn't why he doesn't understand that his enemy has the ability to transport tons of food and water on their own so he is trying to slow them by giving them less resources. It shows how far humans have come that before that was a normal way to wage war and now it is completely useless.

This anime has so much propaganda that it makes me cringe. Other than that conecpt itself is enjoyable.

SprinkleVerse

I see! war is brutal 😭 thank you for the explanation! 💖
