I love Betty, she's so cute even when she's angry or shy. I think she used to just call him a nuisance or an insect and stuff like that before. I also don't think Subaru was actually using the magic himself, he probably was able to do that because of Betty and probably was borrowing her magic as you guessed. I didn't want to say it in the last episode, but we saw Roswaal visit the library in the past in the last episode. And we got confirmed that the Roswaal in the past was a predecessor to Roswaal B. Mathers. So they clearly have names going like A, B, C and so on, just like Ryuzu's clones. And in the current day, we are at Roswaal L. Mathers. That's how many generations has passed. However, we also find out later in this episode that all of them actually were the real Roswaal all this time. He just had used the knowledge from the books in the library to pass his soul on from one body to another by using his own children as vessels. What a cruel and evil act. I wonder if this has something to do with the Shiima clone and Echidna as well, since if you need someone you know very closely to be the vessel, couldn't Echidna take over Shiima's body when she was in the graveyard using the same spell, since Ryuzu and Echidna were close after all and Shiima was made from Ryuzu. I hope that makes sense as much as it does in my head. Love how innocent Emilia is to think that you can get pregnant from a kiss. What a classic anime trope. If she thought that and she didn't dodge Subaru's kiss back then, that would imply that she was ready for a baby, right? Glad that everyone got to pay Roswaal back for what he had done and we finally got Roswaal on our side, thanks to the oath sealed with a curse. It is implied here that Shiima had died by undoing the barrier by disappearing with the crystal in the other episode, but I really wonder if that's true, especially if my theory of Echidna having had taken over her body or something similar to that is right. The party at the end was so cute and it was cool to see that Subaru finally got to become Emilia's knight, like he always wanted to. Just like season 1, without the carriage scene that was added in later, if this season was the last season that was animated, I would be super happy with the ending. I feel like it left off on a really good point, answering most questions we've had so far (and making new ones I guess). I also want to point out the amount of love the studio put into this season. We barely got any ending and opening songs with the actual opening and ending videos. They skipped so much of them to do justice for this season and not skip too much content. I think that was the best choice. I can't wait for season 3!

The reason Emilia didn’t recognize Echidna’s body is probably because she lost her memories of meeting her in the trial. We know Subaru also forgot Echidna after their first tea party and it wasn't until later that she decided to let him keep his memories of her, which suggests that Echidna can control or erase people’s memories of her and the events inside the Sanctuary’s graveyard. It’s never outright stated that she did this to Emilia, but it makes the most sense to me, especially since the trials take place entirely within Echidna’s domain, where she controls what people remember when they wake up. Again much of Re:Zero is shrouded in mystery and a lot of things are never fully explained (at least in the anime, idk about the Light novel) so these are just my theories.

you are right!! That makes sense. I totally forgot about that part when Subaru didn't remember her and had to ask her to not erase his memory of her 😲 thank you for the reminder 🥰

I know what you mean!!! Betty is just so cute no matter what 😂 I just want to hug her 🥹🥰 omg so every generation it was the real Roswaal!!! I thought only the current one since the voice was different in the others 😱 yea he totally got what he deserved wit that beating at the end, but I still don't forgive him though for all what he did!!!

When Roswaal is speaking with Subaru during the knighting is pretty important. He's basically admitting he is using Subaru for his own gains, but he's doing it by trusting him. He trusts that Subaru won't let what happened with Rem happen again to someone else. The group as a whole now has some great heavy hitters, putting them at minimum on par against the other throne prospects.

Roswaal had children and then used one of them as a vessel every generation. That's why he asked Betty if he was an inhuman monster. He basically killed 1 of his children to continue existing once every so often, since they are pretty much compatible vessels for his soul. And yes I also want to hug Betty, she's too adorable. But Petra as well. And also Rem and Ram but I'd hug them passionately instead lol. As for Elsa? Maybe if there's enough distance between my belly and her knife.

Everyone in this show is just cute and adorable, but it's also sad. Because when they die it's hard to watch.
