Hey sprinkle maybe you should watch the two "Amazing Spider-Man" movies to but they are not connected with the three Spider-Man movies you just watched

DragonWithaBeard

Glad you got to see the third Spiderman movie. Sorry again if I was rushing you with my question in chat.

And that concludes the Spider-Man trilogy to this day I still love it Spider-Man 3 I think the conclusion was really well done. Here’s some behind the scenes stuff you should know The production of Spider-Man 3 (2007) was famously complicated and is often cited as a key reason for the film's mixed reception. The main behind-the-scenes issues revolved around creative control and an overcrowded story.  Here are the key things that happened: • Studio Interference and Venom: The biggest point of contention was the inclusion of the villain Venom. Director Sam Raimi has openly stated that he did not like the Venom character and preferred to focus on other villains, such as Sandman (who he intended to be the main antagonist) and the conclusion of the Harry Osborn/New Goblin storyline. However, producer Avi Arad and Sony Pictures insisted that Venom be included due to his popularity with fans. Raimi was essentially forced to shoehorn the character into the story • Too Many Villains and Plotlines: The studio's demand for Venom, along with the decision to feature Sandman and conclude the New Goblin arc, resulted in a film with three primary antagonists and an overly complex script. Many critics and fans felt the story was rushed, lacked focus, and had too many competing storylines to give any of them proper development. The Pursuit of "Bigger": Following the critical and commercial success of Spider-Man 2, there was a conscious effort to make Spider-Man 3 even bigger, which Raimi later felt doomed the film, as he should have focused more on character and relationship progression Also Spider-Man 4 was supposed to happen but Sony decided to reboot the series and we get The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 and then again another reboot which leads to the current mcu Spider-Man the one you saw in marvel I liked Spider-Man 3 despite the flaws and I don’t think it should get much flak as it does I still think it does a lot of thing right My ranking Spider-Man 2 Spider-man Spider-Man 3

This movie definitely has some high and low parts for me, but I certainly have a lot of nostalgia. I find myself liking the Sandman stuff a lot more then I did as a kid, and while I wish they made Venom much closer to the comics in terms of appearance and how much of a threat he is, I come away liking the movie quite a lot more then I used to. By the way, if your curious about Venom, there are some Venom movies that are good. They're not connected to the MCU, kind of like Deadpool, and Venom is a lot less of a villain in them.

Great reaction as usual. I forgot how... Messy Peter and Mary's relationship was in this movie. Especially when Peter went and kissed Gwen and then was shocked that Mary Jane got upset. Like, bro, in what universe would your girlfriend be fine with you kissing someone else SPECIFICALLY to have that image be plastered all over the place. Granted that didn't excuse Mary going off and kissing Harry later but still, he's lucking she didn't dump him on the spot. I'm a little disappointed we never actually saw him (or Mary Jane) apologize for everything that happened, that feels like a missed opportunity. But, like someone pointed out in another comment, filming was a rushed mess of plotlines that had nothing to do with each other. Perhaps they just didn't have time?

Honestly, when it comes to spiderman the animated series from 90s' is way to go. Same for x-men.

Why is it so sad? Because being Spiderman is to be suffering. Not the best movie in the trilogy, even the director hated it (the studio meddle with it to boost merch sale by forcing Venom into it), but at least they manage to ties up all lose end. You don't need to see Amazing Spiderman (2 movies) right away since there already an MCU Spiderman coming up soon (too many spiderman movies back to back), but you do need to see it before MCU Spider-Man: No Way Home.

I think they will be connected to the MCU very soon atleast from what I understand but we will see if we even make it that far I haven't seen any of new MCU stuff in a long time

Yes! It is finally here! I enjoyed lot of this reaction!Tthe ending , I think, is more bittersweet. There should have been a fourth movie but unfortunately studio meddled in things and even this movie isn't that great because of that but I still enjoyned, it has good parts still.

DragonWithaBeard

When you get done with Amazing Spiderman, you should definitely watch Venom afterwards

Lovely reaction. As a child I really enjoyed this movie, however, by 2014 and to this day I hate it. Do not misunderstand I do love to rewatch it every now and then because of nostalgia. It reminds me of a time when my dad, my brother and I could still watch movies in a theater without me being in serious pain(ear and jaw problems with pain sensitivity if you dear reader were curious). This film doesn't do Venom justice and whilst I do enjoy moments of this film it now only leaves a terrible taste in my mouth(outside of my nostalgia) since I actually know what Venom is supposed to be like and this isn't it. They may have gotten his weakness to sound down, yet it feels like that's the only thing they did get correct and they didn't show off the fact that he or rather it isn't in fact a villain. Venom is an anti-hero. He has in fact teamed up with heroes for ultimately good reasons, however, those "good reasons" are always in Venom's best interest in one way or another. For instance there's a few comics in which Venom saves Earth or at least tries to. The first Venom film actually does a great job of showcasing what it actually is. Sandman is quite interesting occasionally he's a straight up villain, sometimes an unfortunate victim and sometimes like in this film a tragic anti-hero. A man who will do anything to save his daughter's life isn't a bad person as far as I'm concerned. Family first. Always. I've always hated this version of MJ she's so immature when you're with someone their success is yours and you should simply support each other. MJ has always been portrayed in the comics as being fiercely loyal, supportive, and understanding of everything Peter goes through. Their relationship is supposed to be something that all of us yearn for and should aspire to when you have someone to come home to, to hold you when you're at a low point.

Probably the most hated Spider-Man movie, and I understand why, but there’s always a part of me that will like it. That said, The Amazing Spider-Man films feature Andrew Garfield as Peter, and even though those aren’t my favorite movies, he is my favorite Peter Parker

Its always interesting seeing this movie because because of the way they bring in Gwen too. So for context in the first round of comic Gwen was actually peter's highschool crush and Green Goblin kills her, then he meets MJ after. It's why Gwen's whole plot seems out of character and off because he never really was supposed to have the two of them overlap in his life. In Amazing Spider-man comics she never dies and things are also different, so his whole behavior with Gwen was made up for drama in the movie and to introduce Gwen.

The late 2000s too because of Spectacular and Wolverine and the X-men.
