GhostPuss

Dreaming of Mt Fuji, a hawk, and an eggplant is supposed to be a sign of good luck for the new year. Just dreaming of one of those things is supposed to be enough. But I’ve noticed that in manga and anime, there’s a trope where a character will be dream of all three with something wild or wacky going on. Don’t think Shota felt lucky after his dream. Funny enough, this reminded me of a series I read in high school about a high school boy who can see ghosts getting a job at a witch’s shop to pay off his wish. It’s called xxxHollic, and It’s a fun manga, but it’s also an unsettling look about human nature. (The art is beautiful too. And yes, there’s a similar type of dream sequence at some point) Id recommend reading its sister series, Tsubasa, first to get a more full experience from it. They’re both by a Manga studio called Clamp and they’ve made a lot of series besides these ones. (This is more of a reading recommendation than a reaction recommendation for the channel.)
