To make it fully clear what they were saying, it was that because Ibara was in a hurry to petrify Ginro and Kohaku, if he had multiple Medusas, he would have one on him and would've used it himself because he's so cautious. I love watching police interrogation videos and often they say that when interrogating a suspect they can tell a lot from their body language and it's always intentionally done how they are seated and what kind of room they are in. For example, the interrogators take the door side seat so the door would be behind them, making them seem like an "obstacle" to the suspect and that they would need to get past them to be free, or like Gen here said about the table thing, they make them sit across the table at first but they can move closer to the suspect to make them talk easier and put their mind at ease, make them feel like they can trust the interrogators and so on. There's a lot of body language stuff that the videos talk about too, like for example, a person with their arms crossed or even feet on the chair is using their arms and legs as a barrier between them and the interrogator to make themselves feel a bit more at ease and safe, and so they are also less likely to talk, because they feel threatened and need some safety and comfort. There's a lot more to it, like offering food or smoke breaks to build trust etc. That's all on top of trying to get someone to talk with what they are saying. They can lie that they know more than they do or say that someone else already confessed so they should also or trying to offer ways out of the situation ("it was an accident", "you didn't mean it"). I could go on for a while. It's all very interesting, although it can be sometimes unreliable as humans don't always react the same way to things. (Also, anyone reading this, if you're actually ever in trouble with the police, get a lawyer and don't talk to the police alone, you will lose 99 times out of a 100.)
