So as I understood it, she was not allowed to buy manga or watch anime and that made her feel like it was something she shouldn't show anyone or tell anyone about. It's the same thing as Gojo basically went through with his dolls. She got scared that other people would also dislike that she watches anime or reads manga so she tried to keep it secret. It truly is a blessing to have people around you who like the things you do. I myself was never told to not do something, besides maybe not play some games or watch some movies because of the violence or whatever, so I'm glad in that sense. I'm glad my parents have actually been supportive throughout my life. Now, I don't have skills to make my own cosplay or something like that, but I did think once that I'd love to cosplay one or two characters. I doubt I will, but I totally understand how Juju felt here, saying that she would've stopped cosplaying because of how her body is and how it seems like cosplay isn't for older people. It's obvious that anyone can do whatever they want at whatever age, but actually seeing people do stuff like this for real, regardless of age, that gives more confidence than someone just saying that you should do it. I think this anime has been a really nice confidence boost in terms of hobbies for me.

The whole feeling guilty or depressed liking something was how I felt about vtubers for a long time. Now a days I love that I love them but I still refrain from talking to most people about it. I don't like having to explain/defend why I love them, so I tend to stay quiet about it
