Yeah Yuji blames himself too much the only "humans" he has killed were Choso's brothers and transfigured humans all mercy killings/self defense. I don't like to bring up other shows in comments but Yuji is honestly how I wish Deku was a bit I dislike the writing around One for All in that regard. If I was in Deku's shoes I think I would feel like Yuji knowing somebody else could be using the power to save people to the fullest. I don't think the show addresses it very well as it brings it up briefly in places and then Deku goes on with his life. Sorry to rant just a little pet peeve of mine.

Transfigured humans would count as yuji himself still recognised them as people and two of choso,s brother's where humans as well just with a bit of curse mixed in it's crazy how quick the lawyer picked up how to use cursed energy could you imagine how good he would be if he got properly trained

I agree yuji does blame himself to much but we need to keep in mind how phycologicaly beaten he is from everything not only does he have the guilt for all the deaths his body was made to commit he will have guilt from the fact sakunda (how ever it is spelt) already had said how he was going to kill everyone and it would be all yuji,s fault as well as he no doubt also has survivers guilt as even when he had control two friends died Infront of him and one lost his hand Deku on the other hand not going to go into mutch detail because I don't want to risk spoiling anyone has a very sturdy support bace both people who know his situation and those who don't do I can very easily see someone coming out of that kind of negative mindset where as yuji really does not and in yujis case everything is happening so quickly one after another he barely has any processing time

yea Yuji did kill the transfigured people who are not curses Also Higuruma's story is so sad and even though we only saw a little bit it was so expertly presented to the veiwer that it's impossible not to understand where he's coming form with his world view, the writer did an amazing job with him

I agree with you on everything you just said. I think Deku's situation should be different however I dislike that the writing doesn't address it more as a part of his character where it should be is my complaint. Because I can relate to Yuji's situation if I was in his shoes I would feel the same way but with Deku I find it odd that it doesn't get brought up that often it feels like a small part of his character where it shouldn't be if that makes sense.

Poor Yuji... we all know he didn't do the act, however he did eat that finger at the begining of the series... Ah remember how innocent our boy Yui was.... Now look at him... Higuruma my man!!! Come back!!! We need ya 😢

We don't see him for too long, but Higuruma truly is a nice guy. I hope we see more of him later.

I agree, I think it's less about if transfigured humans are humans or not, but how Yuji himself sees them. If he considers them still to be humans, even though he's told that they die in the transfiguration process, then it doesn't really matter what they are. It matters what they are TO HIM. He's a kind person and even if most people don't see transfigured humans as humans anymore, he's unable to let go of the fact that they once were humans and regardless of what happened to them, they are still humans to him to an extent. Or that's how I see it at least.

Higuruma has such a good story arc. He realized how good of a guy Yuji is when he realized Yuji took responsibility for something that wasn't his fault. Deep down he still cared.
