Izuku couldn’t help but watch the beads of sweat trail down Katsuki’s bicep as he raised his water bottle, tracking the paths they took along the curves of taut, tanned muscles. He still remembered those arms being stick-thin, still remembered the first time Katsuki ever picked up a dumbbell, back when they were just innocent little kids.

Katsuki’s life hadn’t been the easiest, but then again, was anyone’s life truly easy? Katsuki was such a perfectionist though, always putting high expectations on himself, to prove that he was good enough – that he was the best. Even while all his friends were just scraping by, he couldn’t stand to get lower than an A in any ofhis classes. And even then he would lock himself in his room to study for a week if it didn’t have the plus on the end. Somehow, though, he still found the time to keep up his physique – he was always out in the quad after class, whether it was working out solo, or playing basketball or something with his friends, while Izuku did his best to catch up on homework as he watched.

“Earth to Izuku,” Ochako giggled. “You’re doing it again.”

“S-Sorry!” he blushed, tearing his eyes away from his friend stretching on the grass to meet Ochako’s amused expression. “Just thinking!”

“Uh-huh, thinking,” Ochako smiled wryly. “Because checking each other out in public is what friends do, right?”

“I wasn’t checking him out,” Izuku insisted. “I was just reminiscing, that’s all! Kacchan is so grown up now! I still remember him being the kid who held my hand as we walked to school together!”

“Didn’t you do that this morning?”

“I- You-" Izuku flooded bright red, burying his face in his arms. "Shut up, you know what I mean!”

Ochako laughed at him far too brightly, enjoying his misery a little too much.

“You’re so cute with your little crush, one day you’ll figure it out!”

“It’s not like that!”

“Okay, sweetie.”

Izuku didn’t look up until a shadow fell over him, dimming the light that made it through into his little fortress, and he finally dared to risk a peek.

“What’s she doin’ to you now?” Katsuki smirked, raising an eyebrow. “Got you all flustered and shit?”

“Doesn’t she always?” Izuku pouted.

“True. Good work, pink cheeks.”

He held out a fist, and Ochako laughed as she bumped it with her own, grinning up at him.

“He’s all yours,” she assured him, hauling herself to her feet and grabbing her bag. “I need to go study anyway, big test tomorrow for biology.”

“And you’re only studying for it now?”

“I’ve been busy! Not all of us are as perfect as you, Bakugou.”

“Maybe you should work on that,” he snorted. “Whatever, text me if you have questions, I’m good at bio.”

“I hear you’re pretty good at chemistry, too.”

“I’m good at everything, round face. Get used to it.”

“Uh-huh,” Ochako grinned, nudging him lightly as she shouldered her bag. “See ya later, take care of Deku for me!”

“Do I have to?”

When Katsuki looked down, he found a fond smile waiting on Izuku’s face, peering up at him with the usual starry-eyed look he always seemed to wear. Izuku clambered to his feet when their eyes met, and then Katsuki was grimacing, reaching up to grab hold of green curls and shove him back down again.

“Cut it out!” Izuku whined, laughing all the same. “You do this every time!”

“Walk on your damn knees or something.”

“It’s not my fault I grew!”

“Damn lanky-ass nerd,” Katsuki huffed, stalking off ahead. “Hurry your ass up, I need a shower.”

“Coming, Kacchan!”

A few long strides had him caught up, and Katsuki huffed again when he matched their paces together, keeping steady at Katsuki’s side. Right where he always was.

“You have a good workout?” Izuku asked, glancing down at the strong biceps that were still bare under his sleeveless shirt. He tried not to think about how thin the fabric was, how the damp of Katsuki's sweat made it stick to all his muscles. “Looks like you worked up a sweat.”

“It’s still summer, nerd.”

“I know that!”

“It was fine,” Katsuki grumbled, looking away. “What, you wanna join me or something? You’re always sitting there watching me.”

“I like keeping you company! What, you think I need to lose weight or something?”

Katsuki snorted, turning on his heel to wrap a hand around Izuku’s skinny forearm.

“You? Mister Lanky-as-fuck? You could do with some damn muscle.”

“I have muscles!” Izuku pouted. “I’m just not as… Compact as you.”

“Don’t you dare start with the shitty height jokes.”

“I’m not! You started it!”

Katsuki released his grip, but Izuku kept his arm out, letting his hand fall onto Katsuki’s shoulder instead. When Katsuki didn’t object, he brought the other one up to match, draping them loosely around his neck. Katsuki’s hands moved instinctively, coming to rest on Izuku’s hips, and the little moment of connection made Izuku smile.

“Even your damn hips are too skinny,” Katsuki grumbled, shifting his grip to survey exactly how bad it was. “Look at this shit, when did you last eat a decent fuckin’ meal? You been eating the shitty cafeteria food again?”

“Last night! You cooked for me, remember?”

“That doesn’t answer my second question, nerd.”

Izuku laughed when Katsuki’s hands stretched out, fingers slipping a little further around his hips, his hands covering more than was probably intended.

“That’s my butt, Kacchan.”

“Shut the fuck up, Deku.”

His hands didn’t move, and Izuku’s smile stretched a little wider, his eyes squinting a little as he looked down at Katsuki’s exasperated face – his friend always seemed so done with him, and yet he still kept coming back.

“You wanna make me dinner again?” he suggested quietly.

“Fine,” Katsuki huffed. “But don’t fuckin’ complain about the vegetables this time, you’re gonna end up eating like shit at the party anyway.”

“But asparagus is gross!”

“Shut the hell up.”

They bickered the whole way back to the dorms, and Katsuki groaned when he found Eijirou and Denki hanging out in the common room, each giving him a mischievous grin when they looked up.

“Don’t start with me,” he insisted, wiping his face on his gym towel. “I need a shower and food, or I sure as hell won’t be going to this damn party tonight.”

“Wasn’t gonna start anything!” Eijirou assured him. “It’s always nice to see you two together, is all!”

“Shut up.”

He shoved Izuku lightly as they reached the elevators, hitting the buttons for both their floors, and Izuku just flashed him that same annoyingly bright smile he always seemed to aim Katsuki’s way.

“I’m gonna go shower and cook, I’ll bring the food down when it’s ready.”

“Sounds good! Can I do anything to help?”

“Clean your damn dorm so we have room to eat.”

“Got it!”

The elevator stopped at Izuku’s floor first, and with a last smile and a ridiculously cheesy wave, the doors slid shut between them. It always made Izuku twitch a little when they parted, even if it was only by a couple of floors. He felt incomplete without Katsuki, like there was a part of him missing, strangely cold without his best friend's warmth by his side.

Still, he had things to do. A dorm to clean, homework to start on, and clothes to pick out for the party. Honestly he didn’t even want to go, he was tired, he’d rather just go to bed. Katsuki wouldn’t go without him though, so he’d not only have his own friends complaining if he skipped, but Katsuki’s too. It was easier to just go along with it – they could sneak out early anyway, after they’d made an appearance. Katsuki never minded leaving early, before people got outrageously drunk and started doing stupid things. Their preferred form of party was an hour or two of light drinks with their friends, then a quick escape, back to the dorms for some peace and quiet while everyone else was still partying.

And yeah, okay, sometimes there was a handjob or two thrown in before bed – that was good too. They’d known each other forever, after all. Drunken hook-ups at a party was probably the worst way they could possibly get out their pent up horniness, it was much safer and more sensible to just do it together!

He made the bed extra carefully as he cleaned.

─────

“I’ll meet you there,” Katsuki sighed, leaning against the door frame. “Gotta sort the nerd out first, make sure he isn’t planning on going out in public wearing the shitty sweatpants he’s wearing right now.”

He heard a quiet huff from behind him but didn’t turn around to look, waiting instead for the stupid comment he could practically see waiting on Denki’s lips.

“You’re such a good friend,” he snorted, leaning away when Katsuki swiped at him half-heartedly. “Dressing him and everything, very friendly.”

“Why the fuck do you assholes keep saying shit like that?” Katsuki demanded, folding his arms. “You got a problem with me and Deku being friends? ‘Cause he’s been around a lot longer than your sorry ass, if you try to make me choose you’re gonna lose.”

“I wouldn’t dream of trying to part you from your sweet Deku,” Denki assured him, grinning still. “After all, he’s your bestie, right?”

“So what?”

“Nothing!”

Katsuki rolled his eyes, turning to disappear back into the dorm room and escape from their idiocy, but Hanta cut him off in a hurry, nudging Denki aside to grin at Katsuki.

“Wait! Where’s my goodbye hug?!”

“Haah?” Katsuki snarled, whirling around to glare at him. “What fucking hug?”

“You told us that hugging Midoriya goodbye was what friends do!” Hanta explained, opening his arms wide. “We’re friends, aren’t we?”

“Fuck the hell off,” Katsuki growled, cheeks burning as he turned away again. “Get out of my damn face.”

“Aww,” Hanta pouted, trying his best to look pitiful. “I guess Katsuki is only friends with Midoriya, huh?”

“I am now, fucker,” Katsuki growled, stomping away. “Some friend you are!”

He heard the snickers behind him as the door swung closed, but he didn’t bother to turn back this time, didn’t want to get sucked back into their orbit of stupid by engaging with them again. Maybe he was missing something by not being on all those stupid social media apps the fools spent their lives on, missing some inside joke that they took pleasure in goading him with – because he swore he didn’t understand half the words they said, these days.

Izuku didn’t say a word about the weird interaction, busy staring blankly into his closet, and Katsuki took the opportunity to get changed himself. He’d brought his favourite torn jeans down with him when he showed up with dinner, and a tight tank top that would show off his arms nicely. He’d spent a lot of time and effort on them, after all – had to make the most of the results. He threw his leather jacket over top to keep warm as they walked, too – despite still being summer, technically, with days that made him sweat his ass off in the sun, the nights were beginning to cool down, and Katsuki hated the cold. It would take them a solid fifteen minutes to get to the house, where some random friend of Eijirou’s lived off campus, and while he knew Izuku would happily march over there in one of his threadbare t-shirts without feeling a thing, he didn’t particularly want to freeze his ass off before they even arrived.

With that sorted, and his phone and keys shoved in his pockets, he turned his attention back to Izuku. No matter how many years passed, no matter how many times Katsuki lectured him, and hell, no matter how many times Katsuki literally bought him clothing, the nerd was still so damn useless when it came to dressing himself properly. He was happy to live in baggy shirts with stupid slogans on them and sweatpants that had seen better days,  no matter what the occasion. But when he turned around, he instead found Izuku almost entirely undressed, rummaging through his closet in just a pair of ancient, discoloured boxers that Katsuki made a mental note to replace the next time he went shopping.

“Wear the blue one,” he instructed, before the whines could begin. “Makes your eyes look brighter.”

“You think?” Izuku hummed, holding up a button-down shirt that reminded Katsuki of the beach they used to visit as kids. “It’s kind of bright.”

“So are your shitty shoes, but you still wear those.”

“Point taken.”

He pulled it on obediently, leaving the top button hanging open lest Katsuki yell at him for it, then paused with his hand on a shelf of folded jeans.

“They’re all the damn same,” Katsuki huffed. “You only ever buy one brand in one size, just pick a pair.”

“But they’re different colours, Kacchan!”

“The grey ones, then.”

“Okay!”

Just like that, he was dressed – after half an hour faffing about his room trying to make a decision, all it took was thirty seconds with Katsuki, the person who knew him best in the world.

“Do you think you could help me with my homework, by the way? I need help with that Physics report, it gave me a headache when I tried, but I know it’ll be a piece of cake for Kacchan!”

“Whatever,” Katsuki huffed, his face a little warm. “Tomorrow, then.”

“Yeah! I can’t wait!”

“You’re more excited about a damn study session than about the party we’re about to go to.”

“Well, yeah,” Izuku hummed thoughtfully. “The party will be fun, but it’ll be super noisy and frantic too. Studying will just be me and you! I like our quality time!”

“Whatever, cheesy nerd. Come on, they’ll be starting about now.”

“Fashionably late, as expected of Kacchan!”

“Whatever.”

They headed out the door into the dim light of a sunset almost over, leaving behind a quiet building, the only inhabitants left behind either working on important projects, or already asleep – Izuku was no stranger to the irregular exam-time sleep schedules, much to Katsuki's disdain.

By the time they reached the end of the street, their fingers had twined together – an old habit from their toddler days that they’d never bothered to break. Katsuki wasn’t a very touchy person, so he had to admit, sometimes it was nice to have that contact he didn’t allow from anyone else.

“The shitheads were being a pain in the ass again tonight,” Katsuki told him, oddly quiet compared to his usual tone. “You should know, in case they start that shit with you.”

“What were they saying this time?”

“Some bullshit about wanting a goodbye hug because I do it to you? I don’t know.”

“Huh, weird. I didn’t know they were a huggy group.”

“They aren’t. I don’t think so, anyway.”

“Then why ask?”

“Your guess is as good as mine. Plotting shit, probably.”

“Your friends are weird,” Izuku grinned. “Sweet, but weird.”

“Tell me about it,” Katsuki huffed. “I don’t know why I hang out with them.”

“We both know that’s a lie, Kacchan. You love them!”

“Fuck off, nerd.”

They didn’t part until they reached their destination, a small house where loud music already pounded from within, their hands splitting naturally as Katsuki pushed open the front door. The living room and kitchen were already crammed with people, dancing and drinking and munching on a few bowls of snacks. No one seemed to be drunk yet, thank god – it wouldn’t have been the first time Izuku arrived to a party to find the organisers had started drinking at four p.m. – which gave them an opportunity to hang out for a bit while things were still peaceful, and escape before it got too rowdy.

“Hey!” Ochako beamed, throwing her arms around Izuku’s neck the moment they got inside. “You made it! How are you? You want a drink?”

“Do you know the hosts?”

“No, silly,” she laughed. “They told us all to help ourselves, though!”

“Oh. Okay, well... I might give it a pass tonight. I’m kinda tired, and I have class in the morning, so I might just hang out and be sober tonight.”

“Awww, so responsible,” she teased, shoving him lightly. “If you change your mind, remember you can help yourself!”

“Yeah. Thanks.”

Katsuki was giving him a weird look, he could see it out the corner of his eye, but he didn’t ask and Izuku decided not to volunteer anything more. If Katsuki really cared, he wouldn’t hesitate to ask – but Katsuki wasn’t likely to care about him not drinking. If anything, he was probably grateful. Izuku had a habit of drinking too much and getting a little weird, after all.

Although Katsuki liked to point out that he was always weird, so even that wasn’t worth having a conversation about, really.

Katsuki himself had already picked up a drink, some kind of cheap whiskey that would get him drunk quickly if he had too much of it. He was pretty good at pacing himself though, had always had a ton of self-control, to make sure he didn’t accidentally say something stupid and embarrass himself. His friends constantly nagged him to let loose, to lighten up and reveal all his secrets to the world, show them everything hidden behind his stoic front. But Katsuki never succumbed to the peer pressure, was always content to keep his drink count low and his hidden thoughts hidden.

That didn’t stop him, however, from feeling a little buzzed after he’d sucked down a few glasses of whiskey. He still had the faculties to not embarrass himself, but he also talked a little more, was more inclined to say hi to strangers who sat down next to him. That was Denki’s favourite time, when Katsuki drew in cute girls who dared to say hi, then passed them off to Denki when he realised they were flirting. It was a win-win situation, really – Katsuki had zero interest in girls, and Denki had more than enough for both of them, so everyone went home happy.

Katsuki’s preferred way to end the night was... Well, different.

He glanced over at where Izuku was talking to some stranger, a little flustered by the flirting he was clearly on the receiving end of, too. Katsuki supposed he understood it. The nerd was tall, everyone liked tall guys, and he had that million-watt smile that lit up any room he walked into. He was so damn selfless, too – would go out of his way a thousand times to help someone in need, and still not expect anything in return. Not to mention his stupid freckles. Why the fuck were they so cute? What gave them the right?

And his hands.

Katsuki had never noticed how big Izuku’s hands were, before. Had never noticed the way they wrapped around a bottle so easily as he poured himself a soda, and made his paper cup look so tiny as he took a sip. It was no wonder he always felt so warm when he held Katsuki’s hand, he was practically enveloping it.

And yet they were so damn gentle with him. So light when they ran through his hair, petting Katsuki like a damn cat as they lay across the bed to watch a movie. So tender when they slid under his shirt, peeling it off to get a look at the abs Katsuki was so proud of. So reverent, when they unzipped Katsuki’s fly, finding their way between his legs to that one spot that made him squirm so much, gasping as Izuku just smiled and continued stroking quicker, harder, until he was right on the verge of coming and then-

Okay, those hands could be bastards, too. They had too much fun tormenting Katsuki, edging him mercilessly, then making him come four, five times in a row before he finally got to breathe again.

Fuck, just thinking about it was making him horny. Maybe they could run off to a bathroom for five minutes, or find a bedroom with a decent lock on the door.

“Having fun, Kacchan?”

Katsuki jumped, eyes wide as he looked back at Izuku with concern. Had he been that obvious? Was he leaking through his damn jeans or some shit?

“Sorry, did I scare you?”

“Of course not,” Katsuki scoffed, looking away in a hurry. “I’m fine, asshole.”

“Uh-huh,” Izuku smiled. “I’m kinda tired, I was thinking about taking off early.”

“Already? It’s only been- Oh. Longer than I thought. Yeah, let’s go.”

“You can stay if you want, I can get myself home.”

“Like I’d want to stay longer,” Katsuki snorted. “Besides, you’d get yourself lost or some shit. It’s fine, I’ll walk you home.”

“Thanks, Kacchan,” Izuku smiled knowingly. “You should say bye to your friends first.”

“Nah, they’re used to it.”

Izuku sighed, but didn’t bother to push it – he’d just shoot Eijirou or Hanta a quick wave as they left, they were used to it. Everyone knew the pair tended to leave early from big events – their social batteries just didn’t last as long as some of their friends.

Izuku’s hand laced through his as they reached the footpath, so easy and relaxed about the whole thing. No matter how much their friends made fun of them, Izuku never stopped – thankfully, Katsuki secretly thought. He was the strongest person around, and yet he didn’t think he was strong enough for that.

“Did you have fun tonight?” Katsuki asked quietly, surveying the strange, far away look on Izuku’s face. “It seemed like you were... Off.”

“I’m tired,” Izuku smiled awkwardly. “Off is a good word for it.”

“But you’re... Okay, right?”

“Yeah! Of course! Just not feeling social and stuff, I guess.”

“Do you want me to go?”

“Don’t be silly, you don’t count! I always have space for Kacchan.”

“If you want me to fuck off you can say so.”

“I know! But I never do.”

“Alright,” Katsuki huffed, cheeks a little warmer than usual. “Let’s go back to your room, then.”

They stood in silence in the elevator, riding up to Izuku’s floor, and the moment they got into the room, Izuku stripped off his clothes. Katsuki snorted as he watched, a pair of old sweatpants quickly replacing the actually-decent-for-once jeans, the button-up shirt discarded for a baggy hoodie.

“Don’t wanna just leave them off?” he offered, smirking. “You can eat me out if you want.”

“Kacchan,” Izuku huffed, tying the drawstring on his sweatpants and trying to hide his flushed cheeks. “I told you I was tired.”

“Fine, fine! I get it, I’ll blow you for once.”

“That’s not what I meant!”

“You told me to stay. Do you want me to leave?”

“No! Of course not!”

Katsuki pinched at the bridge of his nose, taking a deep breath to keep from snapping.

“So you don’t wanna do anything because you’re tired, but you don’t want me to leave so you can sleep.”

“We could make out.”

“So it’s your fault the idiotsquad started going on about us making out.”

“Uh... Sorry?”

“Whatever,” Katsuki huffed, falling onto the bed pointedly. “Come on then, asshole.”

“So romantic,” Izuku teased, crawling in beside him and planting a little peck on his lips. “You know, you’re allowed to have fun here. You don’t have to act like it’s such a chore for you.”

“You think I’d be here if it was a chore?”

“No, I know better,” Izuku laughed. “But that’s my point! You don’t need to act like you don’t want to be here.”

His hand trailed under Katsuki’s shirt, fingers brushing across his abs, and Katsuki’s eyes darted down to watch. Izuku was always so gentle, sometimes Katsuki wished he would be a bit rougher, would just shove him into the mattress and-

Katsuki shook it off, sliding his fingers underneath and bringing them palm to palm. Izuku just smiled at him faintly as he compared, watching silently. They didn’t even come close to matching up – Izuku’s fingers were so much longer and thicker, his palm was so much wider; if Katsuki made a fist, Izuku’s hand would probably wrap right around it.

“Your hands are so damn big,” he huffed, when he caught Izuku watching him curiously. “What the fuck.”

“They have to be,” Izuku grinned, shifting to lace them with Katsuki’s. “How else would I make you feel good? Gotta be able to fill your little cunt, right?”

“Shut up.”

Izuku grinned, and Katsuki silenced him with a kiss, too hard and a little messy, just like they always were. Considering how perfect he was at everything else, Izuku found it kind of sweet that he’d never entirely gotten the hang of kissing properly. Izuku always had to take the lead, when they fooled around. Had to slow him down and soften him up a little. Katsuki had never half-assed anything in his life, but that vigour when they got in bed was sadly not always the best choice, just a little too rough and poorly aimed to work quite right.

Katsuki hummed faintly when Izuku split their hands apart again, but Izuku kissed him a little deeper in return, the hand sliding down over Katsuki’s jeans and between his strong thighs. Katsuki spread his legs a little wider in response, letting Izuku stroke back and forth slowly, his touch electric even through annoyingly thick denim.

“Been a while since you fucked me,” Katsuki murmured, trailing kisses down Izuku’s neck. “You up for it?”

“Mm... That does sound fun.”

“But?” he asked knowingly, leaning back to meet Izuku’s eyes. “Too tired?”

“Sorry.”

“S’alright,” Katsuki assured him, levering himself up with a grunt. “I’m gonna go back to my room.”

“You don’t have to go, Kacchan. I’m sorry.”

“No, don’t be. You obviously need the rest. We can mess around any time, it doesn’t have to be tonight.”

He slid his way out of Izuku’s arms, climbing up off the bed, and Izuku could only watch with a little smile as he dug a water bottle out of the mini-fridge. He slapped a hand down on Izuku’s perky little ass, laughing when Izuku squawked at him indignantly for it, then tucked him in with his bottle within reach and a quick goodnight kiss planted on top of messy curls.

“Get some rest, I’ll blow you when you’re feeling better instead.”

“Thanks, Kacchan,” Izuku laughed, snuggling into his blankets. “Goodnight! I’ll see you in class tomorrow.”

“Night nerd, get better.”

He switched out the light as he left, locking the door behind him, and headed out to his own room for the night instead. The dorms were still quiet, most of the inhabitants still out at the party – in a few more hours there would be an influx of them, coming home in waves of noise, drunken laughter and probably shit breaking as they stumbled it. Until then, though, he had a couple of hours of peace – to read, or study, or maybe watch a movie or some shit.

Fuck it, maybe he’d just jerk off.

─────

Izuku had never valued his friends more than the moment Tenya showed up at his door with a box of painkillers in hand, offering him a sympathetic smile when he pulled the door open to accept them.

“Can I get you anything else?” Tenya offered. “Ochako said you didn’t drink last night so I assume you’re not hungover. Are you sick? Is it just a headache? Do you have any other symptoms?”

“Just a headache,” Izuku confirmed, smiling softly. “I’m just gonna take some pills and get some more rest.”

“And drink water.”

“Yeah, and drink water. Thank you again, I can always count on you!”

“It’s my pleasure! I’ve got a full day of classes, but Ochako is going to come check on you a little later, she got in pretty late so she’s still asleep. So if you need anything else, just let one of us know!”

“I will. Thank you again.”

“Feel better soon!”

He watched until Tenya turned the corner, with a last little wave back as he disappeared from sight, and then the dorm was empty again, quiet and peaceful and dark. He threw a couple of pills in his mouth and fumbled for a water bottle on his bedside table, pulling a face as he swallowed them down. The water was warm, and tasted slightly off – must have been a few days old, not the one he’d been sipping on during the night. He couldn’t find it in himself to care that much, though, grimacing as he took another swig all the same, and fell back onto his blankets with a sigh.

Hopefully the pills would kick in soon and he could get some more sleep – if he was out by the time the rooms around him started waking up for class, maybe he’d manage to sleep through it instead of listening to every dropped spoon as his neighbour ate cereal in a hurry, or every heavy footstep as his upstairs-neighbour leapt out of bed twenty minutes too late after snoozing his alarm seventeen times. Again.

Apparently his theory worked, because the next thing he knew, Ochako was tiptoeing into his room, and he was sitting up with a yawn to greet her.

“I didn’t mean to wake you,” she said softly, giving him a sympathetic look. “How are you doing?”

“It’s fine, I should probably start getting ready for class anyway.”

“I thought you were taking the day off?”

“I took the morning off,” he corrected her, glancing at his phone for the time and groaning at his near-dead battery – because of course it was the day he’d forget to plug it in to charge overnight. “Kacchan will worry if I don’t show up this afternoon, though.”

“You mean like how we all worried about you this morning?”

“Yeah, exactly.”

“So it’s okay to skip those classes, but not when it’s Bakugou?”

“...Yeah?”

Izuku tilted his head, frowning slightly, and Ochako just shook her head, sighing at him.

“Can I get you anything before you go? Have you eaten?”

“I’m not hungry yet, but thank you! And thanks for coming to check on me, I really appreciate it! I’m just gonna take some more pills and get going, I’ll let you know when I get back safely!”

“Alright, see that you do!”

She checked his mini-fridge before she left, sighing again at his empty shelves and slotting some kind of plastic container in before she headed back out the door.

“Take care, Deku!”

“I will! You too!”

As soon as the door was closed, Izuku yanked his sweatpants down, putting a pair of boxers on before he pulled them back up. He switched to a clean, though still old, t-shirt, and then he was ready to go, jogging down the stairs to head for his lecture hall.

He met up with Katsuki in the hallway outside, smiling and waving like always, but Katsuki’s eyes narrowed at him immediately.

“The fuck is going on with you?” he demanded, eyes raking slowly over Izuku’s body, from head to toe and back up again just to be sure. “You over-sleep or some shit?”

“Yeah!”

“You had class.”

“Come on Kacchan, we’ll be late!”

Katsuki squinted at him a little more, but followed all the same, sliding into their usual seats and pulling out his perfectly organised and colour-coded binder of notes. Izuku tried his best to pay attention to what the professor was saying, but his head was throbbing again despite the pills, and he was quickly losing focus by the time they got fifteen minutes in. He could feel Katsuki snatching glances at him, but he kept his eyes straight ahead, staring at a slideshow that was too blurry for him to actually read.

“Oi,” Katsuki growled, the moment the lecture ended. “What the fuck is wrong with you?”

“I’m fine, Kacchan!”

Katsuki followed him all the way back to his dorm room, marching inside like he owned the place. As the door swung closed behind them, Izuku felt a warm hand push his hair back from his face, covering his forehead and holding him in place.

“Well you're not hot.”

“Ouch,” Izuku smiled weakly. “Rude, Kacchan.”

“Shut the hell up. What’s wrong with you, damn nerd?”

“It’s nothing Kacchan, you have class.”

“It’s just a stupid English class, who cares. You were weird last night, too. You sick? Tired? Upset? Some chick reject you again?”

“It’s just a headache, it’s no big deal!”

“I knew something was wrong with you. Get the fuck in bed, nerd. You been drinking water? This bottle looks like it’s a week old, it’ll start growing mold soon. I said get in bed.”

Izuku gave up protesting, falling onto his hard mattress with a resigned sigh. Once Katsuki got an idea in his head, there was really no stopping him – he’d tried it enough times throughout their lives to know that by now.

“Drink this shit,” he demanded, slapping a fresh bottle into Izuku’s hand. “Where are your meds? You got the good shit? None of that stupid herbal stuff?”

“They’re good, Tenya got them for me.”

He nudged them across the bedside table for Katsuki’s approval, and a quiet grumble told him his friend was at least mostly satisfied.

“Not the ones I like,” he explained, when Izuku turned his head to look. “But they’re alright. Drink the damn water.”

Izuku popped the cap, smiling to himself as he took a few long gulps, finding Katsuki at least somewhat satisfied when he set it down again. He continued to fuss about the dorm room, but Izuku left him to it, closing his eyes and draping an arm across his face. Katsuki had been right on at least one count, lying down did certainly feel better. He hadn’t realised how dizzy he was until he was back off his feet and no longer fighting his own sense of balance.

“Stupid nerd,” Katsuki grumbled to himself, opening and closing cupboards with a surprising gentleness, compared to his usual slamming. “You know better than this shit.”

“Sorry Kacchan,” he sighed. “I’ll be better next time.”

“You better be.”

Giving up on Izuku’s empty food stores, Katsuki fell into the desk chair instead, swinging back and forth and watching his feet dangle. Stupid tall nerd.

“You hungry?” he asked after a minute. “Or nauseous?”

“Mm… Neither? Not hungry, but I don’t think I’m gonna puke, either.”

“Looks like round face brought you leftovers, might be too heavy if you’re not well though. I’ll make you soup later.”

“I’m fine, Kacchan, you don’t need to baby me. It’s just a headache!”

“You don’t take painkillers for headaches,” Katsuki huffed. “I’ve seen you take them three times in your damn life and they were all at the beginning of a damn migraine. So take some damn care of yourself. You got a bucket somewhere in case you get sick?”

“The one I use for cleaning is under the bed, I think?”

Katsuki lay down to look, crawling underneath a little to reach the annoyingly cheery red bucket and haul it out, dumping it beside the bed for later.

“Don’t puke in your bed, I don’t wanna change your sheets,” he instructed. “Drink more water.”

Izuku didn’t bother to argue this time, just reached for the bottle and took another sip, smiling when Katsuki dropped back into the chair.

“You don’t have to stay,” Izuku assured him. “I’m just gonna sleep.”

“I know that, asshole. I don’t do anything I don’t wanna do. Just gotta text the idiotsquad and tell them I can’t make it tonight.”

“You guys have plans?”

“Just study group shit, they can cope without me this one time.”

“Thanks, Kacchan.”

Katsuki huffed again, and Izuku knew even without looking that his cheeks were flushed that cute shade of pink that he rarely got to see. Any other day, he’d have torn his eyes open to watch, but he was too comfortable right where he was, his arm keeping him cast into darkness.

“What can I do?” Katsuki asked, voice strangled slightly like he was struggling to get the words out. “To… Help.”

“You don’t have to do anything.”

“What can I do?” he repeated firmly.

Izuku smiled again at the stubbornness, cracking an eye open this time to peek out.

“Your company is nice,” he admitted. “But I don’t want you getting bored.”

“I have my phone, it’s whatever.”

“Oh. Phone. I should charge mine.”

“I’ll do it,” Katsuki cut in quickly, halting Izuku before he could even start to move. “Anything else?”

“Mm… A hug would be nice? If you want, I mean. You don’t have to.”

“Roll over.”

Izuku obeyed, not bothering to question it, and Katsuki huffed quietly.

“Toward me, idiot. I’m going over you, so you can’t puke on me if you get shitty.”

“Okay,” Izuku giggled, turning onto his other side. “I’ll be careful.”

Katsuki crawled up from the bottom of the bed, wedging himself between Izuku and the wall, and slung an arm over the skinny frame. Izuku wiggled backwards, pressing his back to Katsuki’s chest, and despite another huff, Katsuki allowed it.

“Feels better with you here.”

“Cheesy fuck.”

Izuku fell asleep quickly in his arms, and Katsuki sighed faintly as he allowed it. It wasn’t often that Izuku got sick, so he supposed there was no harm in indulging him on those rare occasions. After all, Izuku had been there for him through far worse things than a couple of migraines. Izuku had been there when his life made no sense, had accepted every part of him without hesitation, and had helped him to find his way – reminding him the whole time that he was amazing and talented and all that other shit the nerd liked to spout. As far as sidekicks went, Izuku was actually a pretty good one.

The next thing Katsuki knew, he was waking up to his phone buzzing in his pocket, groaning as he rolled over to take a look. Somehow it was already morning, and he only had vague recollections of getting up to eat and piss, the rest of the night spent curled up in that warm, comfortable spot at Izuku’s back. He still had to shower, and change, and make breakfast, all before getting to his eight a.m. class. Stupid schedule.

He slid his way out, careful not to disturb Izuku in the process, and headed up the elevator to his own floor. It was the last of the mixed-gender floors; any higher and he’d be in the all-girls territory that some of his friends lived in. Mina and Ochako were the only girls he knew who had chosen the mixed floors – Mina because she just didn’t give a damn and knew no one would dare mess with her, Ochako because, Katsuki suspected, she wanted to be closer to Izuku and Tenya. Then again, she was pretty tough too – she probably wasn’t afraid to hold her own in a fight if any of the guys got too close, not to mention she had plenty of male friends around to step in if anyone came to be a problem.

He slipped into his own room, grabbing a quick shower in the thankfully-attached bathroom, and then he was throwing clothes on and tucking a notebook in his bag. The rest of his stuff could wait until later, especially considering how close the clock was getting to eight – all he had to do was get through his one stupid lecture and he could figure everything else out afterward.

The idiotsquad were waiting in the hallway for him, Eijirou raising an eyebrow as he emerged – Katsuki never cut it so close to being late to class.

“Nerd is sick,” he said in explanation, before they could get annoying about it. “Stayed over last night.”

“You spent all night watching over him?” Eijirou asked, failing to hide the surprise in his tone.

“Course I did,” Katsuki narrowed his eyes. “You don’t do that shit when your friends are sick?”

“Of course I do! But you don’t.”

“Haah? I do so, asshole!”

“I had the flu like two weeks ago and you just told me to ‘suck it up and cook my own damn dinner,’ if I remember correctly.”

“You had a cold,” Katsuki growled. “You just didn’t want to cook!”

“Isn’t having a cold still sick?”

“Hardly. If Deku has a cold he just wears a mask and goes about his damn day.”

“Oh, well if Deku does it, it must be right.”

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?”

“Noooothing,” Eijirou sang, sharing a quick grin with Denki over Katsuki’s head. “You just keep taking such good care of your friend.”

“You didn’t take care of me when I was concussed!” Denki pointed out, pouting. “Where’s my tender loving care? What if I want cuddles when I’m sick?”

“Fuck off. It was your own fault you got concussed, why the fuck did you think it was a good idea to slam your head into the wall?”

“It’s hard to resist the urge when you and Midoriya are together.”

“The fuck is that supposed to mean?”

Denki reached over as they stepped out of the elevator, clasping Eijirou’s hands and fluttering his eyelashes.

“Oh Eicchan,” he fawned. “You’re so handsome and talented! I’m so lucky to have you as a friend!”

“Denki, darling,” Eijirou joined in immediately, not quite containing his laughter. “Why don’t we go make out behind the gym? Since we’re just such good friends.”

“Oh Eicchan, that sounds amazing!”

“What the fuck are you nerds on about?” Katsuki growled, throwing the front door open in Denki’s face, even more annoyed when the idiot managed to dodge it in time. “You two are even more dumb than usual today, I don’t do that shit.”

“Oh Katsuki,” Eijirou sighed, releasing Denki’s hands in favour of wrapping an arm around Katsuki’s shoulders. “You really, really do.”

“Me and Deku don’t make out, I’ve told you that a thousand times.”

“You just hold hands constantly, kiss on the lips in public, and blow each other on occasion?”

“What’s so fuckin’ wrong with that?”

“Oh sweetie,” Mina smiled sympathetically. “Are you really so oblivious?”

“The fuck are you talking about?”

“I don’t know if I want to shake you, pity you, or punch something,” Denki mused. “Even I’m not this dense.”

“Yeah, Katsuki, even Denki isn’t this dense.”

“Hey!”

“Whatever, assholes,” Katsuki huffed, unwrapping one of his emergency rice balls he’d been forced to grab for breakfast – served him right for getting caught up with Izuku and forgetting to make food. “I’m going to class, like the good student I am. Some of us don’t need your damn study group, and if you keep this shit up, maybe some of us will stop showing up to bail your asses out the night before an exam.”

“It might be worth it, if we finally get through that big dumb skull of yours.”

“What’s that supposed to mean, asshole?”

“Exactly.”

The three of them giggled like idiots over some private joke, and Katsuki stepped away with a scowl, diverting toward his building while the assholes headed for their own.

“Good luck with your damn exams, idiots.”

“Thanks Katsuki!” Eijirou grinned widely. “Good luck with your boyfriend!”

“He is not my damn boyfriend!”

He tossed his trash in the bin on his way inside, still grumbling to himself as he stomped to the right classroom, but when Izuku’s face lit up his phone screen he couldn’t help but soften a little.

“Kacchan!” he said brightly, when Katsuki picked up. “It’s good to hear from you!”

No matter how long it had been, a week or a day or an hour, the nerd still greeted him with the same damn enthusiasm. He was too bright, Katsuki needed to install a dimmer switch in him.

“Hey nerd,” he said softly, pausing to lean against the wall of the corridor. “Feeling any better yet?”

“Much better now that I’ve heard your voice!” he giggled. “I just wanted to say thanks, before you get stuck in class for the day. I feel a bit better this morning, I’m sure I’ll be back to normal in no time!”

“You better be.”

─────

It took four days for Izuku to be back on his feet, and he finally found himself toying with a plate of scrambled eggs at a cafeteria table, surrounded by his friends, but feeling oddly listless.

“Is everything okay?” Ochako asked gently. “Is your head hurting still?”

“No, no, I’m okay,” he assured her. “I feel much better, I’m just kind of… Thinking.”

“Do you want to talk about it?”

“I just… Kacchan was there every day, you know? While I was sick, he was always at my side. I mean, he’s always at my side, to be fair. He always has been. I can’t imagine him not being there, you know?”

“Oh sweetie,” Ochako reached out, patting his back lightly. “He’s not going anywhere.”

“I hope not, but I just… Need to tell him, and I… I don’t know.”

“Oh, did you figure it out?” Shouto asked, looking up from his plate to survey Izuku’s pitiful expression. “Ochako said I wasn’t allowed to say anything.”

“Yeah,” Izuku hummed. “I mean, I know he’s smart and all, so he should be able to handle it, but he’s such a perfectionist and he’s gonna hate me if I’m the one who ruins his Straight-A status by making him spend time on me instead.”

“Well, you have your own studies to focus on too,” Tenya pointed out. “As long as you’re both sensible about dividing your time appropriately and respectful of each other’s needs, it shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

“You know what he’s like, though. If he thinks for even a moment that he’s not gonna ace everything, he’ll lock himself in his bedroom for a week.”

“Really, Izuku, would it be so much different to how things are now?”

“Mm… I think so, if it’s my fault for ruining things.”

“W-What? Why would it ruin anything?!”

All three of them stared at Izuku in alarm, and green eyes blinked in confusion when he looked up.

“Because he took all that time out of his life for me,” he explained. “So it’ll be my fault.”

“Deku, sweetie,” Ochako frowned. “Do you think he’s gonna be mad when he finds out?”

“I don’t think he’ll be mad, but he’s gonna be annoyed, for sure. He’s gonna regret spending all that time with me.”

“He would never regret that. He chose to do it, Deku! Because he cares!”

“Is there anything we can do to help?” Shouto offered.

“Um, I don’t think so… Oh! Unless!” His head popped up again, eyes wide and shining. “Do you think you could get Yaoyorozu to lend us her notes?!”

Shouto blinked at him, dumbfounded, but Izuku didn’t seem to notice the blank stares pointed his way.

“Kacchan would never lower himself to asking her, and I don’t really know her very well, but she’s the only one who rivals Kacchan in the exams! With her notes, we could catch up with heaps of time before Monday!”

“M-Monday?” Ochako stuttered.

“Yeah! If I get the notes before I tell him about the exam, then I already have a plan by the time he freaks out! Then he won’t be annoyed at me for the classes he missed, because we can catch up together!”

“Ah, y-yeah,” Shouto nodded, swallowing hard. “I’ll send her a text, I’m sure she won’t mind.”

“That would be amazing! Thank you so much!” Izuku sighed, running a hand through his hair as he visibly relaxed. “I don’t know why I didn’t think of it earlier, I’m so relieved!”

His stomach growled, and he quickly returned to his plate of lukewarm eggs, shovelling them in with far more vigour than they’d seen out of him in a while. The moment his plate was cleared, he stood up, shouldering his backpack and flashing them a big smile.

“Thanks for the help, guys! I’ll see you later!”

As Izuku hurried out of the room, Shouto stole a glance at Ochako’s stunned face and Tenya’s concern and confusion, waiting for the doors to close before he spoke.

“Were we not talking about his crush on Bakugou?”

─────

Izuku was practically bouncing on the spot as the class let out, watching as people filed out in twos and threes, chatting and making plans as they headed for their next classes. He heard Katsuki coming before he got there – or more to the point, heard Denki coming, and knew Katsuki was on the other end of his teasing, goading tone.

“Kacchan!” he beamed, when they stepped through the door. “Look, I’m out of bed!”

“Hey nerd,” Katsuki grinned, catching Izuku when he dove in for a hug. “Look at you, walking around like a big boy.”

“Thank you for taking care of me.” Izuku leaned in, pressing a kiss to Katsuki’s cheek as he squeezed him tight. “You’re the best, you know.”

“Ooh, is this the famous boyfriend? He’s cute, Bakugou!”

Katsuki glared, and Izuku felt his face burn bright red, stepping back quickly and sliding out of Katsuki’s grip.

“I’m Camie, I’ve heard all about you.”

She offered a hand, and Izuku accepted it awkwardly, stuttering as he tried to choke out the words.

“We’re not dating,” Katsuki grumbled on his behalf, looking away. “Don’t listen to the bullshit the idiots spout all damn day.”

“We’re childhood friends,” Izuku explained, smiling sheepishly. “We’re just close, that’s all!”

“Oh? Well maybe today’s my lucky day.” She winked, sneaking a glance at Katsuki’s pout. “I might have to scoop you up myself, if Bakugou doesn’t do something about it first.”

“The hell is that supposed to mean?” Katsuki growled, eyes narrowing at her. “Stop screwing around.”

“Is it my fault you can’t see what a cutie this guy is?” Camie teased, reaching up to pinch Izuku’s freckled cheek. “Call me, babe.”

She sauntered away before Izuku could find the words to object, shooting a final wink back over her shoulder, and Izuku could only stare in awe and confusion at the way she carried herself so confidently. Katsuki grabbed him by the hand, grumbling to himself as he dragged Izuku the other direction, and Izuku couldn’t help but smile at him as he squeezed back.

Katsuki wasn’t even sure what he was so annoyed about. It wasn’t like he wasn’t used to the stupid teasing, practically everyone teased him about their friendship. And it wasn’t like he didn’t see people flirt with Izuku all the time, either. He was tall and cute and always happy, always flashing that bright smile at people. Girls fell for him daily. But the idea of him actually dating someone?

Maybe it was just Camie. She was his friend first, of course the thought of her dating Deku was weird. The pair had said all of ten words to each other, he didn’t want Izuku getting into shit with some chick he didn’t even know! And if – when – it inevitably ended poorly, he’d be stuck with two friends who could no longer be in the same room, probably. It was just impractical for him. It would be different if it was one if Izuku’s friends. Like… If he finally caved and dated Ochako. That would be fine, right?

...Nope, definitely not fine – worse in fact. Who did that stupid Round-Faced Jerk think she was, trying to move in on Izuku after he’d been such a good friend to her for so long?! Like hell if he was just gonna sit by and-

Okay, so it wasn’t about Camie. Then, was Katsuki… Jealous?

He hated to even consider it, but it did make sense. If he was jealous, then of course he’d be annoyed.

Jealous because… He wanted to date someone? Because Izuku had someone and he didn’t? Katsuki had never dated anyone, had never even considered it, really. It had just seemed like so much time and effort that he could be putting into other things. But he was getting older, maybe it made sense to start thinking about his future. About dating, getting married, having a… a kid…

Gag.

Yeah, no. No kids.

But a girlfriend? A wife? Or maybe a husband? That… That was doable. Maybe.

Doable enough to get him jealous and pissed off though? There had to be more to it.

More to it like… Oh shit. Did he have a thing for Camie?

Ew. Nope. Never mind. That wasn’t it either.

“Kacchan? Is everything okay?”

Katsuki froze, glancing back at the concerned look on Izuku’s face behind him, his knuckles almost white with how tightly he held the nerd’s hand. His whole body was rigid, the swirling thoughts making him unbelievably tense, but when he saw the tiny, encouraging smile on Izuku’s face, the way he looked down at Katsuki with such a fond look in his eyes, it all seemed to melt away.

“Fine,” he answered quietly. “Everything’s fine.”

“Okay,” Izuku said, still smiling so sweetly. “I’m glad.”

Katsuki’s heart pounded a little faster, thundering in his chest, and as he turned away again he felt a rush of warmth flooding his cheeks.

There was no way he had a crush on Izuku… right?

Izuku cautiously took a step forward, bringing them side by side, and when Katsuki didn’t protest, he gave their linked hands a little squeeze.

“If everything’s fine, can we head back to the dorms?”

“Yeah,” Katsuki nodded, swallowing hard. “Let’s go.”

His palms were too sweaty, he knew, but Izuku didn’t seem to mind. Never seemed to mind.

“Let’s hang out in your room,” he blurted out, cringing when Izuku’s eyes widened. “Shut up, don’t look at me like that, I just-”

“You know you always can,” Izuku cut him off, grinning. “It almost sounded like you wanted permission.”

“Haaah? I do what I want, nerd!”

“I know, Kacchan,” Izuku humoured him. “My room sounds good, come hang out.”

“I already said that,” he huffed. “Come on then.”

He strode off ahead again, dragging Izuku with him, and Izuku could only laugh as he followed. It only took him two strides to catch up, his stupid, long legs bringing him back to Katsuki’s side, and Katsuki grumbled to himself as they headed for the elevators. No one even looked twice at them, no one batted an eye at their linked hands, no one bothered to ask questions – everyone had quickly gotten used to the pair of them, and even in the huge building full of students, no one had ever questioned their friendship.

Well, except their friends, but that was more goading and tormenting than questioning.

“I’m feeling much better this time,” Izuku offered, turning to close the door behind them and pinning Katsuki against it in the process. “If you still want me to fuck you real good.”

“You sound like such a dork when you say that shit,” Katsuki huffed, looking away in the hopes that his pink cheeks might be less noticeable that way. “Fine, do it.”

“Wow, so enthusiastic.”

“I don’t do anything I don’t wanna do.”

“I know, Kacchan, you don’t need to keep reminding me.”

He slid a knee between Katsuki’s legs, gently rubbing at his crotch, and Katsuki let out an embarrassing little moan as he leaned back against the door more for support. Izuku gently levered his legs apart, giving him room to play, and Katsuki cursed at himself for the wet patch he could already feel forming in his underwear. Izuku’s huge hand trailed under his shirt, pinching and twisting lightly at Katsuki’s nipple, and his lips went straight to Katsuki’s neck. It was like the nerd was determined to assault him from every angle; Katsuki didn’t know which way to turn, which way to lean; whether to pull back, or grind into his touch harder.

“There’s my good boy,” Izuku teased, shifting his hands to Katsuki’s waist. “Come on, bed time.”

He practically carried Katsuki to the mattress, and Katsuki felt himself getting aroused all over again at the way Izuku manhandled him so easily. He was used to being the strong one, the athletic one, so when Izuku took control, it did things to him.

“No shitty foreplay,” Katsuki demanded, hating himself for how breathless the words sounded. “Just stick your damn dick in my cunt and fuck me.”

“Oh Kacchan, that’s no fun.”

“Haaaah?”

“I’m gonna make you beg for it.”

“Fuck.”

Izuku grinned as he got Katsuki positioned on his back, legs spread wide to show off the tiniest patch of damp that was seeping into his jeans. It wouldn’t matter for long anyway, considering Izuku was already fumbling at his belt, fingers too damn uncoordinated and slow.

“Already so wet for me,” Izuku grinned, kissing the hem of his boxers before they were yanked down with the jeans. “Want me to suck your dick?”

“Fuck yes.”

“Gotta be a good boy then, don’t you?”

“I hate you so much.”

Izuku just laughed, tossing the clothing aside into the mess of his dorm room and getting himself comfy between Katsuki’s legs. He’d been a little awkward the first few times they ended up in that position, unsure what to say, what to do, what to call everything, but as it turned out, Katsuki had been surprisingly vocal in bed. His little gasps and moans and pleas had told Izuku more than enough.

He nipped and sucked at Katsuki’s inner thighs, watching his muscles tense in response and make his legs look even stronger than usual – extra handsome, he would say, if Katsuki wouldn’t punch him for it. He loved the way Katsuki squirmed when his teeth trailed higher, his tongue tracing little patterns that made Katsuki grind down into him for attention.

“Okay, okay,” he whispered, his breath against Katsuki’s skin inciting the tiniest little whine. “Since you’ve been such a good boy for me.”

He ran his tongue over Katsuki’s dick, wrapping his lips around it to suck gently, and Katsuki moaned, bucking his hips up into the touch. Izuku gently pushed him back down, getting a whine when he pulled back a little, licking firm, wet strokes just to watch Katsuki squirm at the stimulation.

“Such a good boy,” he said again, shifting his spare hand to take over. “Want me to fuck you up real good?”

“God yes,” Katsuki groaned, hips twitching against Izuku’s grip. “Stick your dick in me, you ass.”

“In your ass?” he teased, running a thumb over the tight little hole. “Thought you liked it when I fucked your cunt.”

“You know what I meant, jerk.”

“Patience, Kacchan.”

He leaned over Katsuki to reach into the bedside table, hunting down a box of condoms, and Katsuki groaned at him impatiently for daring to take his time. He responded with a quick little squeeze of his thumb and forefinger, sending a jolt through Katsuki that made his hips buck up against Izuku’s body, the weight holding him down and only infuriating him more. Izuku gave him another little pinch for his efforts, amused as always by the way Katsuki strained, somehow searching for more and less stimulation all at once.

Izuku rolled the condom on quickly, adding a quick drizzle of lube just to be safe, and then he was lining up with Katsuki’s hole, teasing him a little with quick strokes against the rim. Katsuki fell still, thighs trembling with how much effort it took him, and Izuku resisted the urge to give him another little squeeze to set him off again. Instead he took pity, gently pushing his way inside, and Katsuki’s chest heaved, head falling back in a silent moan. He reached for Izuku, fumbling for his hand, and Izuku couldn’t help but oblige. He tangled their fingers together, letting Katsuki squeeze him hard, until finally he was fully surrounded by Katsuki’s warmth.

“Feel okay?” he asked, his free hand rubbing up and down over Katsuki’s dick again. “Not too sore?”

“You’re not that big,” Katsuki snorted, rolling his hips a little and humming when he found a good spot. “Go on, fuck me like you mean it.”

“Like I mean what?”

“It’s a figure of speech, dumbass,” Katsuki blushed. “Just... You know. Do it.”

Izuku leaned in, managing to lever himself close enough to meet Katsuki’s lips, their tongues slowly finding each other in a lazy kiss. It was almost strange, how well the two of them fit together – sure it had been awkward the first time, but they’d fallen into such a perfect rhythm, like it was just meant to be. He supposed that was what happened when you knew someone for your entire life, things just... Fitted.

“I love you.”

Izuku pulled back, blinking at him in confusion, and Katsuki’s face contorted as he realised the words had come out of his own mouth.

“I love you too, Kacchan! You’re my best friend!”

“Y-Yeah,” Katsuki mumbled, cheeks burning. “That’s... What I meant.”

“Are you okay?”

“Just... Waiting for you to fuck me. Hurry up, would you?”

“Are you sure?”

“God yes, I’ve been waiting a week for your shitty ass to feel better for this.”

Izuku nodded faintly, making a long, slow thrust in and out of Katsuki’s cunt, watching him closely for any sign of pain or discomfort. When none came, he began to move a little faster, and Katsuki finally relaxed into the touch. His perpetual scowl smoothed out into the sweetest face of pure bliss when Izuku put his hand back into the mix, stroking him in time with the thrusts, and he finally managed to coax out a moan on a particularly good thrust. He did his best to replicate it on every movement, searching for the right angle, the right pressure, watching Katsuki’s thighs tremble and his back arch, little gasps of pleasure escaping from lips that would normally force them back.

“Fuck,” he hissed. “Yes, that’s it, I’m gonna-”

“Do it,” Izuku hummed, leaning in to kiss him again. “Love seeing you come for me, get us all wet and messy. Show me.”

“Fuck.”

When Katsuki squeezed around him, clinging so desperately, he couldn’t stop himself from coming. He shot his load into the end of the condom, moaning as he made a few last little thrusts, grateful to see Katsuki already exhausted by the time he pulled out.

“Feel good?” he asked, as he fumbled the condom off and knotted it carefully. “Do I need to finish you off?”

“No, that was- That was fucking good,” he laughed breathlessly. “Gimme a few minutes.”

“Okay,” Izuku smiled, depositing the condom in the trash. “You should go pee.”

“Yeah,” he nodded. “One sec.”

Izuku rolled over to lie beside him, bringing Katsuki’s head to his chest gently and stroking his sweaty hair.

“You go, then I will, and in a few minutes I’ll eat you out.”

“Yeah?” Katsuki snorted. “Gonna be awake enough?”

“You can sit on my face.”

“Fuck. Yeah, yes, okay.”

“On one condition.”

“Fuck, should’ve known there was a catch. What, nerd?”

“I wanna take you on a date. Tomorrow.”

“What?”

“A real date. Just to try it! If it doesn’t work... Well, nothing will really change, right? But... It might work.”

“Yeah,” Katsuki conceded. “It... Might.”

“Will you try it for me?”

“Yeah.”

“Great,” Izuku beamed, despite his exhaustion. “Go, Kacchan, get that sexy butt moving.”

“So for as long as we’re dating, I get multiple orgasms when we fuck around?”

“Sound fair?”

“Fuck yes. Marry me, nerd.”

“Maybe later,” Izuku laughed. “Go on.”

“Going,” Katsuki conceded, hauling himself up off the bed. “Don’t fall asleep, nerd. I’m gonna sit on your face whether or not you’re awake to breathe through it.”

“Noted,” he laughed. “And Kacchan?”

“Yeah?”

“Friends don’t do this, do they?”

“Probably not,” Katsuki smiled wryly. “So buy me dinner.”

“Gladly.”
