Idk why I thought you were someone who would have read the books (you gave I was obsessed with greek mythology in my youth vibes lol) BUT I guess it's good that you didn't cause I think it's fun seeing reactions of this show from people who never read the books, it gives a new perspective since i myself have read the books. It's a pretty faithful adaptation from the books, obs they changed some stuff and cut some stuff out but I think they kept the heart and soul of the original story and that's all that matters (granted I haven't seen the latest ep as of now so they might fuck it all up in the end but let's hope not lmao)

I read the books as an adult, I love this adaptation. I'll recommend the next episodes for next month since Zamber got invested and Invincible won't be back till March.

Jennifer

Same! I read the books like two years or so ago (a bit after the tv announcement) and I'm loving the adaptation so far.

I KNOW RIGHT?!?! I really should have read the books growing up!!! I have no idea why they just never crossed my path. I think I was still in catholic school at the times the books came out, so I missed the hype for them... and was hooked on twilight/vampires once i got into public school. Also, i love to hear that the show is 'relatively' keeping faithful to the books! I really enjoy the story so far and it makes me sad to have missed that magic of this series as a young reader.

Jennifer

Haha totally get it. As someone who had a similar situation with the whole catholic school thing, I also missed out on reading them when I was a kid, I only got to them when I was in college and I still very much felt the magic of them (almost feel like I appreciate them more now than if I had read them when I was 14)
