Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been busy helping a family member fix up their house and move and that led to me helping two other family member move as well. So I've been very tired. I was able to draw this yesterday.  Hoping to get back on track.

Also, is this scene from the show? I can only remember Azula being restrained once similarly to this, under the Fire Nation capital.

Is is strange that I can see this as something Azula would actually do? I see this as being the opening stage of her going full yandere on some guy who caught her attention.

I don't see her being a yandere. She is controlling and manipulative, but outside of abandonment issues stemming from her parents toxic marriage, she's never been shown to blindly chasing after anyone.

No, but she does seem kinda obsessive, particularly about anything she deems important (like perfecting her bending). Then again, that just might be my perception of her after the last couple of ATLA fanfics. Fanfic writers REALLY like to make her into an evil monster in every way they can it feels like.
