Breaking down poses into simple shapes is a great way to understand basic anatomy, proportions, and perspective. While it's important to use references for drawing, there are occassions where you simply can't find the perfect reference (despite our best efforts to create more!) or perhaps you're a monster-lover, in which case, good luck finding real-life references. This is where construction comes in to assist when you need to move an arm, a leg, adjust a pose for your character, or create something entirely new... Drawing sexy monsters is MenageANoir's motivation to improve their construction. ;)
