Hey everyone!

This is the long awaited follow up to our popular Tomb of Sand map. We played around with a lot of designs for this one and it took us a while to settle on this one, so we hope you like it!

We imagined this place as a grand mausoleum, similar to something like the Taj Mahal, ornate and solemn. The focus in this tomb is time and sand magic.

The main idea is that the tomb you're in is itself within the grand hourglass within the tomb. Recursively. Throughout the map there are also 6 smaller hourglasses, we imagine each has the ability to turn time back and forwards. You can use these along with the 'no sand' and 'sand flood' variations to allude to different time periods within the tomb.

The smaller hourglasses each can be used as a puzzle: monsters that unpetrify as time moves backwards, the capstan locking you within the tomb, the rooms stabbing you with spikes as the hourglasses are turned and finally in the top middle, the gate to the main tomb opening and closing.

BluBerrey Map Collaboration!

All patrons can get the files here.

It's been a long time since we did a collaboration! For this release we've worked with BluBerrey who is an active community member of ours and also a great cartographer. They've made an awesome overworld map combining several of our battlemaps, so you can make a grand campaign of getting to the Tomb of Sands through the trecherous desert and uncover the treasures within.

BluBerrey has a patreon you can visit here. They make awesome modular tile maps and lots of city map content: tiles, assets, accessories and full maps that you can use to construct your own city.

Let us know what you think of this map and if more overworld maps like this would be useful to you!

This overworld map contains these battlemaps (mostly the desert variations):

Oasis City

Desert Caravanserai

Harpy Cove

Djinn Gardens

Pharaoh's Tomb

Beachside Cliff

Floating Village

Blue Dragon Lair

This is incredible. We need more content like this because it really ties so many of the maps together and makes them all feel so alive and United!

This is so helpful! I sometimes struggle with figuring out how to utilize grand exteriors and there just aren't enough extensive interior building maps to fit these cool themes so I can't wait to use this! I also LOVE the overworld map!

I absolutely love the idea of an overworld map, there are some of your maps that I think are so incredibly rad but I don’t currently have a setting I could easily slot them into, and seeing ways that a bunch of them could combine together is incredible

Wonderful !! Do you have the dimension for the overworld map ? I have a city in a desert in my world and i'm definitively putting those maps together

Czepeku

I would say it can be any size you want it to be. Maps don't have to be to scale. Go for what works in your world.

OMG!! First off great on interior maps. I've been playing lots of MK1 lately and gears already turning on a Geras NPC :P ANYWAY... PLEASE MORE OVERLAND MAP COLLABS!! I'm checking out BlueBerrey's patreon because I love already made sandbox overworld like this. But would LOVE to see more collabs with your fantastic maps. Had this existed 6 months ago or so, I would've used it for my Amonkhet setting campaign

Galactic Glitch

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! The BluBerrey overworld map gives me so many ideas for a desert based campaign! I would love more!!!!!

The Star temple version makes this the perfect lead in for a Stargate cross over for your D&D game.

More overland maps connecting all your work would be incredible!
