No Frieren couldn't have beaten the demon king on her own, and there was a lot of Sages that the hero's party never faced in combat as they were preoccupied elsewhere at the time when they faced the demon king

Also, the Vietnamese had a reason to fight. It was a matter of wanting all foreign influences out of their country. Where as the U.S. troops just wanted to live through it and go home. It was not that the Vietnamese where better than the U.S. it is that they had a concert reason to fight. Where as the U.S. Where fighting for an abstraction. It's why the Ukrainians are more successful in their fight against the Russians. That and they are much better equipped and train. (That helps too). Most of the Russians are constipated with no reason to fight (More editorial rambling. And they are so poorly trained and lead.)

Thanks. I enjoy your channel, but I like the this format better.

Even thought most likely Hither, the Bishop, has compared with his full magic amount and with Frieren's suppressed magic amount; the fact that he has said Frieren has 1/5th of his magic amount still blows away my mind.

And now you know why she sleeps in all the time, and why it's hard for her to get moving in the mornings. Suppressing her mana for 1000 years makes ger incredibly tired

I am really curious what streaming service you watched this on. I watched on CrunchyRoll and the command Frieren gave Aura was different than what yours showed. The original broadcast was "Aura, kill yourself!". I hate when services alter dialog like that because it can drastically change the impact and interpretation of what the writer is trying to convey.

Gutting, whoever subtitled this committed the worse sin imaginable and completely misread the tone of a climactic phrase. What Frieren said was very aloof and extremely harsh at the same time. "End your life" is a terrible translation, what she said is more akin to "Kill yourself" (I think every single fansub used this translation instead) which better explains the reaction most fans had to this scene! EDIT: Omg! Frieren's real name reveal (pronunciation) in this episode hahaha, I might cry!

Ahh! I adore that phrase too, "this too shall pass." I think it may be my favourite mantra, however I thought you might like to know that it does not actually come from Buddhism, but rather it's attributed to stories about King Solomon, of Persian/Jewish fame. Though I'm sure that the same adage appears in Buddhism and other religions the phrase is of Persian origin!
