Hello everyone! I hope you enjoy my detailed psychological analysis of Horimiya's season finale, episode 13! What an amazing finish to the series. I absolutely adore this show!

My final 3 takeaways from this episode (and the series)

1) Never underestimate the power of incremental progress, or what I call "invisible progress," because on the other side of effort is the promised land of hope

2) We cannot tackle this behemoth that we call life alone; we must rely on one another and find our respective Hori, Toru, Yuki, Remi, Sakura, and Shindo in our lives

3) To live a thriving life, we must accept all of ourselves, the good, the bad, and the ugly, as I often share in all my series. How can we thrive if we deny a part of who we are?

What a journey this has been, and I am infinitely grateful that Horimiya was the first Yapper-exclusive series we did together; the bar has been raised! We will see how 86 goes!

Happy Sunday, everyone~

PS., to all Yappers, please make sure your Discord access is enabled with all the VVIP perks, to join our awesome Yapper community, where the selection happens for the exclusive series, and much more! 86 was selected as the next Yapper-only series, so stay tuned :D

It's not a flashback. Actually, the sister didn't get into the school that she wanted to get into. The school she was trying for was East High, so she must have just settled for this school. Her brother told her the uniforms are cuter here anyway. Great analysis. I thought that you would have a lot to say about these characters and was looking forward to your analysis. I really enjoyed and learned more about them then I felt before. Thanks

Izumi: “The wind’s so strong today” The wind of change is blowing. Makes me think of lyrics to the classic song: “The world is closing in And did you ever think That we could be so close, like brothers? The future's in the air I can feel it everywhere Blowing with the wind of change” “Wind of Change” - Scorpions Kyoko wasn’t expecting her father to show up. But Kyosuke showed out for his son, Miyamura 🤣. The Sneeze gets revisited hilariously in “Missing Pieces.” So even if you don’t do reactions for “Missing Pieces,” as it’s not a true continuation, it’s still a thoroughly enjoyable mix of new and backstory for the characters to fill in the “Missing Pieces.”

Hiiii. I love this episode because there are always all those "what if" questions people constantly ask themselves, sometimes with bittersweet thoughts, regrets, or even gratefulness (as seen here with Miyanmura). But at the end of the day, the time has passed and there is nothing you can do to change it. You can only fully move on by accepting it. Also, I wanted to mention that there is a second season of Horimiya called "Horimiya: the missing pieces." Will you be checking that out as well?

I was enjoying your Apothecary Diaries reactions on YouTube for a while but when I saw that you were also reacting to Horimiya and even My Dress Up Darling (kinda shocked by this one) , then I decided to join your Patreon.

Psychotherapist Reacts

Some mentioned but probably not because of other shows in waiting, I might watch it myself tho!

Here's hoping you get to react to the second season titled "Pieces". It covers the same time period, but actually fills in some of the major time gaps the first season leaves. It also focuses a bit less on Hori and Izumi and gives the rest of the cast more development. It's a great addition to this wonderful series. I always get emotional at the finale of this show.
