Hello everyone! I hope you enjoy my detailed psychological analysis of episode 7 of Your Lie in April! I am excited that the series introduced new characters (and competitors) from Kousei's past, given his absolute domination until 2 years ago.

My main takeaways from the episode

1) Kousei truly was a walking dead throughout his musical career despite his domination; what was the point of all the trophies if we do not feel alive?

2) We all experience fear, anxiety, and insecurities; the tricky thing is that they are all invisible, but it does not mean that they are not real

3) We all have an inner voice that speaks to us through the highs and lows (similar to that spiritual black cat with Kousei); what is your inner voice telling you when life gets hard?

Thank you for being patient with this week's early access due to my shared dilemma and struggle. I am grateful I get to continue and finish the series thanks to Scientia Tridens' generous donation.

Happy Friday, everyone~

I think Watari's words to Kousei refers to his piano competition and not about Kaori. He is pretty perceptive though, so he may know at this point that Kousei is developing feelings for Kaori even if Kousei himself, doesn't realize it yet.

Also, I don't mean to critique your pronunciations but if you're interested, Chopin is pronounced: "Show-pon." Loved your analysis as always!

I don’t think it’s trauma for Aiza. He has intense performance anxiety. NBA legend Bill Russell famously endured extreme pre-game performance anxiety vomiting before more than one thousand games. Russell was able to channel all that stress and anxiety into unparalleled success as one of the greatest winners in all of sports: 11 NBA titles, 2 NCAA titles, and Olympic Gold. His coach and teammates felt at a disadvantage if Russell hadn’t vomited as that meant he might not be mentally and physically primed to compete to the best of his abilities. We’re about to see if Aiza can channel that same nervous energy into success! And this OST! Again we’re on the edge of our seats in anticipation of ….a solo piano piece? Amazing.

This OST is unmatched! Not only the actual classical pieces, but the regular BGMs like that track that is used in nearly every episode that played at the end of this one always stirs up my emotions!
