Hello Patreon family! I hope you enjoy my detailed psychological analysis of episode 10 of Your Lie in April! What an emotional roller-coaster this was, with Kousei bombing the stage, plagued by the ghost of his past, finding himself, and ending the performance with an emotional comeback!

My main takeaways from the episode

1) IT IS NEVER OVER, UNTIL IT IS OVER

2) Kousei's roller-coaster performance symbolizes the journey of life, full of ups and downs, but the only way is through

3) To break through, we need to first unchain from our past and what no longer serves us

What a stellar performance that was, riding on the momentum of Emi, Takashi, and Kaori.

Happy new week, everyone~ I hope my videos add some meaning to your day!

A pianist that can’t hear is like: A blind painter. A chef that cannot taste. A masseuse that cannot sense touch.

Out of the many themes explored in the first arc, this second arc concentrated on the most powerful theme of YLIA. More than anything else, this anime is about the power of inspiration. How important it is to be inspired. How we don’t know the profound ways that we inspire others. Music is just one of the many ways to experience and share inspiration. But it’s one of the most soul baring ways to do this. And the musical performances that stand out in this show are inspiringly emotional. People want to feel inspired. And that’s why fans keep coming back to “Your Lie In April” - despite the sadness and pain. Because that feeling of inspiration is real. And inspiration gives hope and strength to persevere and dream again.

I have a deep love for music. I never really had aspirations of being professional or making a career out of it, but my best memories of my school days all revolved around my time playing in band, performing concerts, and even dabbling a bit in competitions. Not being able to hear your own playing is incredibly difficult. If you can't tell how much force you're using on your instrument, you won't realize how grating your sound is, like in Kousei's case. He was pounding the keys which hurt his sound. It would be the same with any instrument. Too much air through a horn, or too much pressure on the strings of a violin or guitar will ruin your sound. I would say more about Kousei on this subject, but it gets to spoiler territory and I would never deprive someone that enjoys this series as much as you of experiencing everything it has to offer. I get the same goosebumps you do from the poetic writing and the masterful performances! Can't wait for next week!
