Whoops! It's October! Please leave your 1 (ONE) question down below for this month's Patreon exclusive Q&A. Could be about baseball, Youtube, or life. Will be back in a ~week with my answers. I'd suggest avoiding asking playoff-related questions that could be outdated in just a few days.

Juan Soto batting in front Judge was 2nd in MLB in walks only trailing Judge by 4. How many walk would Soto have is he didn’t have the AL MVP backing him up? Any team come to mind that had a tandem better offensively?

The past two seasons the dodgers have lost a large chunk of their SP staff to injury before the playoffs. Do you think this is a systemic issue within the org or more so terribly unfortunate luck?

As per the Google Cloud AI commercial that plays during games, is there actually a correlation between team average OBP and mascots with wings?

Alright Master Baseball, here is the assignment, You are tasked with creating a baseball team on baseball players who became, at the very least, "long tenured" managers. The minimum for the baseball player/manager is at least 500 games with a W/L% of equal to or more than 50% or at least 1000 games no W/L% requisite. 1-9 and SP only needed but you can put RP(s) for bonus points. Have fun ;^) P.S. You down to play some modded bl2 runs after the season is over?

Alex Sutherland

What are your thoughts / expectations on Buster Posey as the new President of Baseball Operations for the Giants?

What’s the GOAT baseball jersey? (Player optional)

Aryie Lovestrand

What are your thoughts on the turn around from AL Central being kind of the laughing stock of the league to sending three teams into the playoffs? Would you point to any specific things leading to such a short transformation, or is it more just variance? Thanks!

Paul

The Yankees’ team doctor had a tweet today saying that he’s about to announce a new TJ variant that will lead to better results, faster recoveries, etc Do you think the eventual solution to the elbow injury epidemic will come in the form of a technological change like a new surgery? Or will rule changes be required? Or maybe will there never be a notable improvement and players will just continue tolerating these high elbow injury rates like they have for the last decade+?

Tristan Morgan

Hi Bailey, Should the Cubs move on from Jed Hoyer? A lot of people in the Cubs fanbase want him gone, but I actually agree with a lot of his free agency decisions (avoiding big time contracts that have high chances of buyer's remorse) and he has completely rebuilt the farm system to where it is arguably top 3 in the league (7 in the top 100). Follow up, if Hoyer stays, is it crazy to trade Suzuki? He has team control and hits well, but those defensive errors and injury problems are concerning sometimes.

Francis Alipranti

Hey Bailey, hope you and your family are well, especially with that hurricane. Couldn’t think of an interesting question and I remember you said you prefer Chourio over Merrill long term, so I was just curious if you could breakdown what you think each of those two Jacksons do well and why you give the edge to Chourio.

joe

hi bailey, coming off spencer strider catching the first pitch at the faye webster concert in atl id love to know your favourite faye album/song anything. thoughts on her newest album and single released today (oct 2)?

Slubkid

Which video games did you play as a kid and which ones do you play now (could be baseball or non-baseball)

What are your thoughts on the NL wildcard debacle, do you think MLB should have more aggressively required Atlanta to reschedule before the end of the season and what if anything do you think MLB should do to prevent something like this from happening again? I was very disappointed going from one of the most epic games of the year to what was, in my opinion, a travesty of the game, where Atlanta made it into the playoffs in large part due to their refusal to reschedule games at a more fair time despite having ample opportunity to do so. -Signed, a salty Dbacks fan

What is one thing physically on an mlb field that you wish was measured(and the stats were given to the public), one non physical thing(doesn’t have to be plausible(just something you’d want to see measured)) and one thing(plausible or not) that you’re glad isn’t or can’t be measured

Jay Rabbit

With them not winning a postseason round for the first time in eight years, the impending free agency of Alex Bregman and recent questionable decisions by the front office, do you think the Astros dynasty is over?

Kamil Sudiyarov

Do you think the current HBP punishments are adequate, given the amount of injuries recently?

Leo Thomas

Did Tyler Anderson being a ‘chad innings eater’ play into the Angels’ refusal to trade him at the deadline at all this year when he had a sub-3 ERA? The Angels front office cannot believe in any world in which we’re going to compete before Anderson’s contract expires, so the only factor left must be his sheer ability to soak up innings, right? Is this worth it just to save our younger arms the strain of carrying the extra load? Or did the Angels just biff this one? Thanks!

Paul Bauer

Design your perfect playoffs! Number of teams, reseeding, home field, higher seeding advantages, scheduling, etc.

Colby2148

What’s your thoughts on Ross atkins coming back and who’s gm you really like that’s not hired

Carl Mizell

Historically, teams have resisted change until they see a team make something work, and then everyone rushes to copy it. (i.e. the "Moneyball" approach.) With that in mind, do you think that if the Tigers manage to win it all, teams will begin to try and emulate their "pitching chaos" model?

Spoon_Licker

one thing that's always irked me about DRS is how it's context dependent. from my understanding there's almost no utility in that compared to context independent stats like UZR or OAA, all it does is add more noise. is that sentiment correct and, by extension, are there any uses for DRS other than being just a second opinion to "better" metrics like UZR and OAA?

bobby witt jr truther

which three living active or retired baseball players would you send as humanity’s delegation to meet the aliens upon first contact

How do you think Pete Rose will get into the HoF now following his death, and why or why not?

Ryan McGovern

If you were to make videos about the other 3 major American sports leagues (i.e Foolish Football, Foolish Basketball, and Foolish Hockey), what would the theme be about each of the 3 videos, and why? Can't include the Arm Punt video for football since it's already made.

hmmm hmm

What makes you down on Marcelo Mayer and if you were Craig Breslow would you look to flip him for a starter this offseason?

Chris Waind

What would you predict Jackie Robinson’s career would’ve been like if he started around age 20 as opposed to age 26, assuming he plays with the Dodgers until 37 as he did IRL? Would he be the consensus best 2B of all time with six more years of (presumably) HOF level play that bumps up his counting stats and accolades?

Nelson Chen

Hey Foolish, Cubs guy here again. With the Cubs rumored to be reducing payroll, how would you reshape the roster in order to contend next year? Also, I agreed with your trade deadline take, it did feel like we traded a good reliever for two Quad A guys that aren't in the team's long term plans.

Evan A

Which baseball players would be best at another sport? Which non-baseball athletes would have the best chance to survive in MLB? (Kyler Murray is cheating)

Brady

Is there too much ump-plaining (complaining about umps) in baseball media?

Sam Holtz

Who is your favorite professional baseball player named Jackson under the age of 23?

Luca G

B Posey as the new Head of Ops for my Giants, what are your expectations this offseason?

JP Stroman

How do you think the Orioles should approach the offseason? They have a pretty well-rounded team, so the easy answer may just be "Get healthy and run it back." Do they try to get another top-flight starter, besides or instead of re-signing Corbin Burnes? Maybe another contact hitter (seems they have a lot of power but less on-base)?

Jacob Kief

Imagine a baseball diamond was five bases instead of four, where the shortstop occupied the new 'third base' and second base would shift slightly over to the right to maintain symmetry. Field dimensions would remain the same, but teams loading the bases would now be able to hit five-run home runs, and the distance from home to first and 'fourth' to home would be shortened slightly to offset the closeness of the new base. Do you imagine a configuration like this would benefit hitters or pitchers? Better teams or worse teams? How would this affect the widescreen concerns you noted in your previous video if two bases were usually visible from a reverse and straight camera angle? Sorry for the bonkers question, I considered this quite a bit since your last video, which was stellar as always 😎

Ryan Dawson

Who’s your NL MVP this year? As a Mets fan I’m biased towards Lindor and I truly think he deserves it over Ohtani despite Ohtani’s historic year at the plate. No player was more important to their team this year (in my opinion) than Lindor.

Nolan McDermott

Hey Bailey, one of my favorite baseball quirks is there is an endless amount of achievements that seem like they totally should have happened across MLB history but just haven’t yet. My favorite is that no player has ever hit 5 doubles in a game. Absolutely crazy to me that this has never happened especially with all the 5 extra base hit games in history. (Never forget Rob Manfred robbed Kevin Newman of potentially achieving this. (4 doubles in a 7 inning game) So my question is do you have a favorite achievement that totally seems like it should have been accomplished by now, but hasn’t?

Luke Nicholson

forgot to ask this sooner so i understand if you didnt have time to research this but are there any seasons that keep popping up in your searches from players that surprise you? Eddie Joost putting up 23 homers and 149 walks as a shortstop in 1949 never ceases to amaze & amuse me. Talk about a Joost ball era!
