Hey all, feel free to drop your questions below for this month's exclusive Patreon Q&A. We had a great turnout last month, so much so that I'm going to explicitly say to only leave one question. Feel free to ask me anything about the upcoming MLB season, baseball, Youtube, etc.

You can view all previous Q&As in this playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3lJFzNSaN7SE7AAWRLGyfnf4S2oONOm-

Has nothing to do with my question just wanted to say i bought Prospectus 2021 to see what you had to say about my Rangers, I loved "the rangers are the concept art of baseball teams," I pictured yoko in a rangers cap. Anyway lol my question is do you think the angels made any meaningful changes this offseason that will land Trout in the post season?

Major

I’ve always been a football/basketball fan in every step of my life. Your videos have single handedly made me really like baseball and all of its strange rules and quirks. With your level of knowledge around the sport, what’s one thing that baseball has that no other sport does? What makes to special and unique that can draw anyone in? Thank you!

Jake M

Geraldo Perdomo update? Still feeling pretty good about his future?

Ethan

Do you think 2020 established that Kershaw is the Dodgers ace instead of Buehler? I realize that Buehler will most likely be the ace probably in 2021, but do you think Kershaw is still their number 1 for now?

Brian Cashman

Hey Bailey, I thought I'd start by saying that I really enjoyed your Rangers piece on the Prospectus guide, congrats! Anyway, I have two questions: why do you think Mexican talent is skewed towards pitching? And what is the most exciting thing about being a Red Sox fan right now?

James Nagengast

Hi Bailey, as far as seam shifted wake goes I know the most popular pitches associated with it are sinkers and changeups. But a pitch that seems like it could really benefit from the effects of ssw is the slider, which could break even further than before. What are some thoughts you have on SSW as we continue to understand it and what are some possible new developments that you think will continue to change pitching?

Paul

How do you think Devin Williams would fare if he upped his changeup usage dramatically (to ~90% or higher) to become a pseudo one pitch guy like Rivera was? The air bender is a great pitch but I’m not sure how it would play without Williams’ hard fastball.

Jack Oliver

Hey Foolish, thanks for shouting out my channel hitting 10k last time :) My question: Had Prince Fielder stayed healthy and finished his career, do you think he had a serious bid for the HOF?

Will Kim

Hi Bailey, love your content. You’re my favorite YouTuber and it’s not even close. How do you think Mariano Rivera would have fared as a starter(stamina adjusted)? Also, what is your all time starting 10, including pitcher and DH, of MLB players related to another, in any fashion, with both being in the squad. For example, if you want Craig Biggio behind the dish, you gotta have Cavan somewhere else. Feel free to bend the rules as you see fit!

Lego Ben Kenobi

What are some of the most “flukiest” WS champs. For me, I think of the 2015 Royals. I know they made it to the WS the year before, but they basically fell of the face of the earth after ‘15.

Nolan Costa

First time question asker here, thanks for all the great work you do, your videos are some of the best on YouTube. What would be your ranking of the World Series winners of the 2010s? As a Cubs fan myself, there is a correct answer.

navman32

If the Angels continue to remain mediocre/miss the playoffs, would you want to see Mike trout demand a trade and where would you like to see him go? Team loyalty is admirable but I'm just sick of watching him waste his talent and hate the idea of our generation's Mays/Mantle never getting a playoff win, let alone winning a WS.

Henry Wood

Is there any you player just absolutely hate for no real reason? Like he doesn't play or anything, but you just hate him for some reason.

Ben Wineke

Do you have a favorite piece of baseball memorabilia?

Christian Gonzalez

If you could integrate an on-field part of another sport into baseball to make some sort of frankensport, what would you pick?

Zachary Kalker

Do you think that you want to create a baseball documentary in the near future? (Or just at any time in the future)

Sean

Hey Bailey - really enjoy the content and Q&A's. What's your view on the career arc of Ubaldo Jimenez? Was 2010 a fluke or did hitters/scouts figure him out afterwards?

ajnrules

What are your thoughts about dubbing the solo home run to left field in a 3-0 ballgame the "Castellanos?" It certainly developed a life of its own. Assuming your approval, I searched the Stathead Play Index and found 1,439 instances of it happening in the regular season dating back to 1916 and 15 more times in the playoffs dating back to 1903. (It's not a comprehensive list because I can think of at least one home run that qualifies but did not make the list because Baseball Reference did not input a location.) Nick Castellanos has three, which is not bad, but he is less than halfway to the record of eight held by Harmon Killebrew and (surprisingly) Vinny Castilla. An additional fun fact: Bob Gibson and Kevin Brown have both given up and hit a Castellanos, and in fact they have both hit two!

Cody Dutcher

After watching your foolish fifty, i noticed a lack of relief pitchers which comes as no surprise. i was wondering what it would take for a reliever to crack the top fifty? would devin williams repeating his performance from last year do it? or would have josh hader made it following his 2018 season?

Angel Marquez

do you enjoy watching spring training games ?

Jared Natsis

Hey Bailey, I hope the move is going well. What's your favorite season/storyline of the Dead-ball Era? (If you have one)

Kevin Burke

“Offence wins games but Defence wins championships” Would you rather the team with the best defence per position or offence per position?

Mitchell Israel

I came up with my own expanded playoff system, can you critique it? Tell me what you like and don't about it, or if you straight up hate it. Here's how it works. The LDS, LCS, and World Series are as they were in 2019 and before. Rather than a Wild Card, the first week after the season consists of two tournaments per league. The division winners play a round robin hosted by the team with the best record. If a team wins two games, they get to be the highest seed, but if each team wins once, the team with the best record gets it. The four best non-division winners play a double elimination tournament, hosted by the best record among them, with the winner moving on to face the highest seed.

Hey Bailey, I was wondering which bullpen arms you think will break out in 2021. I̶f̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶e̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶n̶e̶e̶d̶e̶d̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶e̶x̶c̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶u̶s̶h̶ ̶o̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶J̶a̶m̶e̶s̶ ̶K̶a̶r̶i̶n̶c̶h̶a̶k̶ ̶a̶t̶ ̶l̶e̶n̶g̶t̶h̶,̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶c̶h̶a̶n̶c̶e̶.̶

Donovan Schultz

Who are some young, under the radar starting pitchers to look at in the next couple of years? Most fans know of Pearson, Gore and Mize, but who are some guys that the common fan may not be familiar with that you think will become stars?

Wyatt Huggins

Who do you think would be a few under the radar guys or new pieces on teams that could provide really under the radar value in the advanced metrics? Guys who won't make the headlines but finish above 5 WAR/.400 OBP, etc.?

Cody Flitcraft

thoughts on Anthopoulos's tenure as a whole? i feel like he will keep atl competing for division titles for many years but scared he might never make the moves necessary to compete with the padres or dodgers as he just absolutely loves holding onto prospects until their trade value is nearly gone.

Delos Chen

What is your favourite team other than the braves for next season?

Luke Psyhogios

What are your thoughts on Dylan Cease and his struggles in his career so far?

notumbre

Hi, Bailey. If you had to pick one player with Bailey in their name (first or last, doesn't matter), who would it be and why?

Bob Majzler

What organizations do you think do the best on gender and racial equity? I'm very disappointed with the Spiders response to "not knowing" about Mickey Callaway. Do you think other orgs would have dealt with him better? (Mets and Angels' responses both stink, too).

Josh Getto

I really enjoyed your video about how you would improve the league if you were the commissioner. Seeing as though the CBA ends at the end of the season we may see some new rules in place next year. Aside from the unisiversal DH/expanded playoffs, do you know of any changes either the league or players are going to be pushing for? Also when do we get the video of your rematch with Owl? 😂😂😂

Brian Hoang

25 major league pitchers (9 randomly selected starters, 16 randomly selected relievers) form a team and have to face a top 10 college baseball team for a 7 game series, how does that turn out? They have 3 days to prepare. How would it turn out against a high school team/all the minor league levels

Bo Brown

Potential spots for expansions: Charlotte, Nashville, Las Vegas, and Portland. Can I get a team name and color scheme for each city? Feel free to add/subtract cities as you see fit. Stay foolish you fool
