Well, it's March now. I know. I'm surprised too. Submit your questions for this month's video Q&A below (only one question per patron please). I'll be back to respond to them in the middle of the month.

Also, I have confirmation on my NYC dates. March 8-13th. How that pertains to you all? I can't yet say for sure. But I'm excited to collab with some baseball people IRL.

Previous Q&A's can be viewed in this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3lJFzNSaN7SE7AAWRLGyfnf4S2oONOm-

Hey Bailey, Are we going to see any more catchers who are going to be a stable behind the plate like molina or poesy in future ? Or is it going to be 2 or more catchers position moving forward ? Especially if an automated strike zone is implemented and framing becomes obsolete.

SmoothCriminal12

If the Red Sox shelled out for a shortstop like Correa or Story and moved Bogaerts to third, is Devers at first base a long term option?

Ryan

Are the Yankees stupid enough to not lock down Aaron Judge

ajnrules

Do you think you would ever set a goal to make it to a game in all MLB stadiums?

Brandon Perez

Favorite player from your least favorite team (all time)

Nicholas Fu

What would you say is the biggest concern regarding the long term health of baseball (outside of the lockout which may or may not be resolved by the time you answer)

Luxares

What do you think about the proposal of banning the shift?

Ethan

When do you think the Mariners actually make the playoffs?

Ben

This won't be an aspect of the new cba but how do you feel about trading draft picks in the future? I feel like it could give small market teams the chance to either load up on picks or deal them in a way that can put the major league roster over the top, something they have a hard time doing now.

Jackson Ingram

Do you have a favorite whacky prospect you follow?

Ben Nyenhuis

Do the Guardians just need to sell pieces? It seems like a lot of the farm system pieces of the last couple years have been very hit or miss and 2021 seemed like they're treading water. Especially with Jose Ramirez and Shane Bieber due pay raises in the near future, do the Guardians have any reason to have hope with the current crop of talent in the organization?

Eli Hinkle

If instead of the first pitch of the game, celebrities threw the final pitch of each game, how would this affect the breadth of who is invited to throw and team's ninth inning strategies?

brian

When you are down and not feeling your best, what's your favorite baseball highlight reel to lift your spirits?

Bo Brown

What is you favorite animated movie? Show?

Paul

I saw that you wrote another team essay in the BP annual this year. Do you see yourself doing more extensive writing in the future? How does your creative process differ between writing for essays and writing for videos?

Will Berger

Who’s your favorite negro league baseball player and why? Other than Bullet Rogan and Shohei Ohtani, what do you think would be the best Negro League and Modern Player Comp?

Evan A

Hi Bailey. Towards the beginning of the offseason, you shitposted on multiple different occasions about Scherzer/Verlander/Kershaw/Greinke all going to the Rangers in free agency. While that didn't happen, the Rangers did end up being players in the free agency period that we got. Obviously you didn't actually think the Rangers would get all of those pitchers, but was that sort of an exaggeration of a serious prediction you did have of of them as FA players and if so, how did you see that coming? Do you think there's more to come for them when FA resumes?

Sean

Excluding WS losers - what recent teams do you think squandered the best rosters? Feel like the Brewers in recent years have had a very solid team, but little postseason success. Reds of the early 2010s come to mind too. Curious to hear your thoughts!

Keegan Tatum

Are you disappointed there hasn't been an MLB player (or several) to come out as gay yet?

teeballer25

What division races are you most excited for this season?

chainy

With the era coming to the end, do you think the Bob Melvin A's of the past 10 years could have gone further or had a better legacy? Seems like so much talent went through during that period for there to be nothing to show for it. Thanks :)

Jeremy Jones

What baseball league will benefit from the vacuum of an MLB Lockout? NCAA Baseball? The KBO? The NPB? Maybe the Minors / AAA gain a bigger following? Also, speaking of NCAA baseball, I know the ncaa is stingy about copyrights. Do you think you would ever do a video on college baseball given the opportunity? I loved your videos on Stephen Strasburg and the 2011 draft because you dove in to prospects and the draft, I would love to see what you could do with college baseball

Adam Cohen

What do you think the future of Bogaerts and Devers is with young prospects coming up that have potential to be better fielders. More so in general where do you see the Red Sox shifting players to make room for prospects if they succeed.

Tyler Maranzatto

starting to dive into some older players stats and i can’t get off of bob gibson’s baseball reference page, in 1968 his stat line is absurd, 305 innings, 1.12 era, 268 era+, where do you think this season would rank all time/ what indv seasons would you put over it?

Trent Thomas

I’ve finished the first two videos of your 2012 OOTP sim universe and I’m heartbroken to see the Rangers fall just short so many times. Do you think they have a decent chance, with their recent pick-ups and willingness to spend, to push through and capture a World Series title in the 2020’s?

Leo Thomas

Can you describe for me the career of a hypothetical player who wins four MVP awards but doesn't get voted into the Hall of Fame by the BBWAA. Not for any off-the-field reasons, just purely their career wasn't deemed hall of fame worthy.

Jack Budington

Who do you think the best player of the post-integration era is with between 40-50 WAR. A few caveats: they can't be a catcher or relief pitcher. They have to be retired and their WAR can't be a little low primarily because they had a tragic injury that ended their career prematurely.

Eli Presberg

What are your favorite examples in the past few years of adjustments that players have made that have led to sudden success… in terms of plate approach, pitch mix, etc

Max Greineder

In your mind, is there a certain awards restriction to be a hall of fame? Like a certain number of all-star appearances or end of year accolades? Or do you think anyone should be able to get even without any awards at all?

Harper-Leighton Scott

If you had to stop/veto one trade in MLB history what would it be?

Gary Cashew

Is there any way that we could increase trades or different free agent signings like wouldn’t guaranteed money mean player want success, like I thought the Nolan arenado deal was good for baseball because it was a superstar moving to a new fan bases

Will

Would you be in favor of instituting ties in regular season MLB games as a way to cut down on marathon extra inning games (setting a cap at say, 12 innings)? It would have a tangible impact on game-time, it has historic/international precedence, and I think fans would gladly prefer it over the runner-on-second rule

Jon Wondrasek

If you were not making baseball content but were forced to continue making regular content, what would your content be about? Both sports-related and otherwise.

Brad Hofvander

Did the Cubs do the right thing by dumping Baez, Bryant, and Rizzo in an attempt a rebuild?

Francisco Jauregui

I am the mythical new young baseball fan! Well, youngish I'm 28. I was messing around with MLB the Show during an exposure quarantine, and now I have found myself with a new obsession with baseball. My question is this, what are some good ways for a new fan to continue to get into the game? I have watched all of your videos and eagerly await the lock outs end, what else can I do to feed my baseball hunger? Bonus Question, as an MD native I feel compelled to root for the Os, I know that I'm signing up for pain, but I am a Commanders Fan so I am used to it. Is there ever a path to the Orioles being good again? Can Adley Rutschman really be worthy of a #1 Prospect ranking?

Liam

What should the expectation be for the Blue Jays in 2022? How does Jordan Romano stack up against other closers in the league in your opinion and what do you do with Cavan Biggio?

Brad Borrell

Which MLB player looks the most ticklish?

Michael Piazza

On a 1-10 scale How annoyed are you by the Braves nickel and diming Freddie Freeman

logan smith

Do you think people are overreacting to Fernando Tatis Jr.'s defensive shortcomings? I don't really see how him at short is any different than someone like Xander Bogaerts.
