Youtube is a shambles and hates me! Without you my channel just would have done as well as it is doing. I am so thankful that you choose to give me that extra support 😭😭😭.

I’m always late but fk it. I feel bad you are getting a raw deal with YouTube, Jodie. They shouldn’t be harassing you about your content but I know they are getting stricter about monetizing and are mostly ignorant about the ASMR community. I cannot fathom what is so offensive about your content from their point of view? I have see much more risqué content from other channels and your’s is pretty tame lol. I think they probably hate those ear noms that would be the only content that I could see them view is “sexual”. Only a perv would think like that though but other than that you keep things pretty classy and presentable. At least you have your Patreon community to support you! 🤗 You’re always so friendly and interactive with your viewers and that’s one of the many reasons why I came here to support you. Plus your creativity is out of this world and you have such a great sense of humour! 😂👍 You always manage to make me laugh. 😌 Hope you stick around and keep up your great work, it would be such a loss if you weren’t around anymore. I say you’re just as talented as the many other ASMRists that have over 100k subs or more! i watch a few channels on you tube like The Majority Report w/ Sam Seder they were getting their videos demonetised a while ago like every other video a while back might be worth sending them a d m on twitter they normally respond to people might take a while though that's really all ive got for advice wish i could properly help it's sucks to see people struggling, anyway thz for the videos you've no idea how much they help my head😌😌😌😌😌😌 stay safe !! ☺☺☺☺☺☺

"Suggestive" videos that make good use of innuendo and double entendre always make me giggle. It can't be an easy feat to pull off without wanting to bust up laughing. I liken it to going to Walmart at and buying a mega-box of condoms, bottle of KY, can of Redi-Whip, duct tape, and a Weed Eater and seeing if ya can make it through checkout acting like there is absolutely nothing unusual about purchasing all of these items together at 3:00 AM.

I suspect the YouTube issue may have something to do with the China crackdown on erotic ASMR even though YouTube is banned there. Probably an issue involving companies that do business with and in China not wanting to be associated with it in the slightest and threatening to pull their advertising. I'll ask some friends at Google and see what they say.

But it doesn't really matter, either way it's an art form. Society publicly shunned pornography, but when the VHS player was invented it had no problem with the screened off area in every video rental store. YouTube is a massive tech platform with all the massive tech issues that come with complicated by input from it's users, many of which are trolls and assholes in general. It takes a special qualities to put yourself in the public eye with your art and constantly face it's scrutiny and try and make a living in the process. God knows I couldn't put up with it. If I had a channel I'd want to reach through the internet and strangle my viewers. But I work in IT, so we hate people as a general rule. 😋

i hear what your saying its a tricky one that's why i thought contacting someone who's not doing asmr but knows the craic with how to get past you tubes striking system because they will demonetise anyone for the slightest thing but logic would say there are ways round it like say your doing a ear vid don;t tick it as adult if you don't see your vids as sexual or adult don't mark them as such see what happens tbh i'm no expert just thinking it might work who knows ?? they were cracking down on politics vids last year but seems like it stopped as far as i know. um check this thread i sure you've read it but just in case . https://support.google.com/youtube/thread/11149074?hl=en 🤞🤞🙂🙂

Thats the issue im having though I am marking them as nothing and they are then sending warning that im not marking them right. I mark them in adult content im getting the same i dont know what to do 🤣

Find another platform to host content and use YouTube as the advertising for it? Or simply diversify your content hosting across several platforms. That seems to be what many others are doing as a hedge against the unpredictability of YouTube.
