Use the start menu and search for defer updates. Crank the numbers up and it will lump updates together and update much less frequently

For your line of work you really should go down the Mac route, even more so with these new M1 Macs, they are cheaper than the older ones and render video very fast x And more importantly .... absolutely zero fan noise. Scrubbing fast through 4k video is a dream and thats with the base model mac mini £700 with 2x 4K 27" IPS screens hanging off it (important for seeing Jodie in true colour :-) !! .
