Sorry I can't seem to find the download link?

Michael Cote

Incredible, as always! Can't wait to print those fanatics!!!

Adam Duffield

It'll be the same one as the part 1 post I think

Hyfryd !

?? where's the file

themakerscult

Link is the same as part 1. Just refresh the Google drive page

themakerscult

I copied the link from part 1, if you don't see the new files, please refresh the google drive page

Martin Wright

That worked - thanks. Probably just me missing it!

BG

I love the electrofanatics, but I can't figure out how i'd securely attach the floaty legless robed version to the base. Any ideas on how to base them?

themakerscult

Theres a 2mm slot under the waist where you can put a metal wire or a clear 2mm rod

BG

Thanks :)

juan nieto

The tank looks amazing, and looks like it's easy to print with resin. Efficient and small parts. Good work!

themakerscult

I noticed the robe version doesn't have the slot. It shoult be easy to drill though

uglyduckling81

Used a bit under a litre of resin to print the baneblade variant for me. Completed print weighs around 600grams.

Korzinator

so long waiting for fanatics in your performance because I love your work but this is the first disappointment

juan nieto

I mean, the 3D cuts are great to print them quick than I expected. Not too much height, which would extend the printing sessions. Anyway, I'll scale at 50%, so the time will be even quicker

juan nieto

But yes, I expect a big amount of resin for this tank.

themakerscult

I'm sure we will figure our a remix for the legs in the coming days. But we have to keep the monthly schedule and the kit already had too many legs sets. Sorry you don't like them.

other than i love the models, i only have 1 question.... do you guys hate magnets? Ok i get the minis can be hard to do but tank after tank with 20 different tank options. I know i am not having any issue other then its 10x hard for me to do it after the fact to get them easily line up but a 2mx1mm magnet please for easier weapon change options. for most items you will only have to do it once....

Lukas Duchaine

I've been using the hollow and drill function in Prusa Slicer to add magnet holes to my models. I find it more useful than having holes already there as I can customize the hole to magnets I already have.

De

drain holes and a spot on a part for a magnet are different things. you can't use the hole option in the slicer or how are you doing a spot on items like Hull or sponson weapons? granted i am not using prusa but in chitubox if the hole does not make a hole (it has to go though a wall) i did not know prusa worked that way.

themakerscult

Big vehicles will take up a lot of material naturally, we recommend FDM if you have that option. If not we have tried to hollow it best we can for resin while making sure it is still durable enough to survive general wear and tear.

David Edge

You guys do such great work! Love em

Lelcron

Looking good! I really appreciate the addition of the robed lower half for the fanatics. I was wondering if we could get the models for the electricity effects from the original preview of the electrofanatics?

themakerscult

Sure. That was a bit experimental, but I will add them to the discord derivatives channel.

Yellow Sign Studio

I don't even WH40K, I just keep on with you for the designs. These are like the Merkava's of the 40k universe... Truly Awesome!

You said there are pre-hollowed and supported .stls, but in the super heavy I just see the regular ones. Do you have those files elsewhere or am I missing them? If you already did hours of work to support them properly, I'd rather not do it myself.

themakerscult

Making supports that are universally usable on every printer with different settings is a challenge that is new to us. We’ve started adding supports to our miniatures first to get some feedback before we support our large models. As we grow confidence in our ability we will support our larger volume models too. We didn’t want to risk Large amounts of other people resin with big models because our supports did not work universally.

themakerscult

Those that have printed our presupported models, do give us feedback

PhantomBlade

This is awesome! Thanks so much

De

to give a different point of view on this i run photon and phrozen, i am supporting the tank models now. and just these 2 different printers need supports in different ways. with the Phrozen since it prints so fast my normal models that print amazing on photo get ripped off the supports. so yes this can be very hard to support models so just give them time. they are doing amazing great work.

Philip

Hi, the electrofanatics support folder is missing the instructions and the left hands (fingers_L files). They're in the normal folder.

themakerscult

Hi. I didn't include the supported version as they are symmetrical of the R version. However I put them in the normal folder for 3d assembly convenience (loading the selected parts in meshmixer for example will make a constructed model).

Niels Kristensen

I bought all the feudal guard infantry... swore I would not print tanks as well... now you do this to me! :D The side sponsons: Are they considered to be double on each side (4 in all) or just a single one on each side? I noticed that the top cannon on those sponsons is kinda multi barreled - is that to leave that question open? :)

Lukas Duchaine

In Prusa slicer you can specify the depth to drill a hole. For example, I mostly use 5x1mm magnets. If I need a magnet hole, I use the drill function to dig a hole 5.2mm wide by 1.2mm deep to leave a bit of room for glue and tolerances. This is not a drain hole, as it does not go through the entire shell of the model (if it is hollow)

Far Away Worlds

I joined this Patreon for the minis, thinking that the vehicles would be too large for my Elegoo Mars. To find that you all have a RESIN specific cut/build folder for this giant tank is amazing. I am starting the Super Destroyer this afternoon.
