New Download site Updates and Help (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to give everyone an update. With your help and feedback we've been able to work out a huge chunk of the technical kinks in the new system. Thank you!

If you haven't already, please give it a try. We have compiled a troubleshooting guide that covers most of the front-end issues we've run into.

Known issues we are working on fixing:

- Download speedup for a range of browser versions

- Monthly single-click download system

- Greater compatibility with Firefox when running larger files

- Mobile support

After we get these worked out we will be concentrating  on making the website more aesthetically appealing and user-friendly.

If you run into any issues with the downloads, or if the site is still not working for you, please let us know in the comments or send us a PM. If we cannot help you with your problem we will send you a google drive link.

so which browser do i use both chrome and Firefox at locking up on the large files "Download speedup for a range of browser versions" which version is not have the slow down issue ?

We have had good results with on Firefox 82 and Chrome 86. Chrome, Chromium engines and edge have the most support for large file downloads so for the moment we recommend using one of those with the latest update. If slow downloads persist I'd recommend using incognito mode or an equivalent extension-free mode. We are working on speed ups in general, but epically for versions earlier than 86.

Got most of it downloaded, but ended up having to expand folders and grab individual items....worst was the BL/TL weapons.....perserverence though...

Yep. Downloading is a crap-shoot. Maybe the website has ADHD? Sometimes it seems to just forget what it is doing.

Hi. could you be a bit more specific? What browser and system are you using? Are you having trouble with the "download all" function, or specific files? By forget what it is doing, does the download stop and stat? Any information you can give us would be extremely helpful.

Dark Techno Vespaxii gets to Compressing 100% and then seems to check out every time. I clicked 3 Download buttons at once and moved off tab. One finished. One got to Download 16% and the other Compressing 52%. I went back and did the other two and watched them. They both completed that time. I am using Chrome at the moment.

Can you check the developer console when doing a download of the Vespaxii and see if there are any errors?

This is from the Sumbus Grim Hounds. This got to 100% Compression but nothing afterwards. What is the chance of CGT having all of our pateon rewards. Would this be too much of an undertaking?

We plan to upload our previous catalogue as we go, so you can get access to all the TMC models you have been subscribed for at any time. In addition, we are working on implementing a store similar to cgtrader, so the backlog may be purchased there as well.

Trying to access the files using the new website but nothing appears to download, even when I click on the "download all" button. I can try in a different browser, that might be the issue (working in Safari at the moment)

This site don't work for me. I click on the download all button and nothing is happen. I use my phone with chrome. Please send me a link from Google drive as before. Thanks

Hello, As stated, phones are not supported yet, but should work in a while, as we didn't imagine using a printer without a computer. If you only use the phone to download and preview the files, please don't worry, your files won't be lost, as the download platform remembers all your pledged months and will give you acces any time to your rewards.

Just a heads up, I'm using Firefox 82.03 and when downloading the file "TL Upgrades -Ranged - Supported" I get constant crashes of the website. I get this crash around the 95% mark. Will download files individually, if the problem persists.

Hmm. I'll take another look at FF. In the meantime you might want to give chrome a try.

Had the same problem with firefox. Using edge (shudder) it downloaded fine.

I still have problems to download. 1 hour or so to download 100 MB... I preferred the drive link ^^ Hope this can be fix. I use Firefox, Chrome, Brave or Edge, exact same issue.

I don't even get to have problems, since I have no items in my account: "Showing items 0 to 0 out of 0" I am using the OAuth sign-in from patreon with Chrome Version 86.0.4240.183 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Hello. It looks like you just joined. In this case you'll have to wait a little bit for Patreon's server to refresh and log your change in status. Please have another look when you have a chance and let me know what you see.

Yep, the instructions said to wait an hour. Being the experienced computer scientist I am, I waited two before posting ;-) Waiting 5 did the job, I see everything now. Thanks! Watching the downloads trickle in now, while wondering who on earth would want to write their own file manager.^^

im getting to 100% on the downloads but then no file etc? can i have a link to drive?

I'll PM you a link. Do you have popups blocked or are you on mobile? Those seem to be the most common issues with the files getting to 100 without appearing.

Sorry should have said error situation- 100% ready to download but it doesn't start in chrome or safari. I realize I replied to the wrong thread- meant to post this on the November 5 thread. The same error has been reported there.

Sure. I'll get that online first thing tomorrow morning (I'm just about to sleep). IN the meantime, could you try incogneto mode and make sure multiple downloads are permitted? Adblock extensions and download blockers seem to be the main issue for users with this problem.

Hey guys, new patreon member here. Not a complaint, more a bug report. But I am working my way through the welcome pack and I noticed that Legion Master Otto is showing up as only being about 10 bytes in file size. The download link worked, but according to the site I dl'd 1185072970% of the Supported file and an equally ridiculous % of the non-supported. Just an fyi. Love you're work and am so happy to be a member.

Just got the chance to try out the site.. was waiting for part two honestly.. lol.. I love the new platform.. its gonna save soooooooooo much space on my drives. Perfect platform for you... hope it continues to work.
