Quick little preview to show off the Robot mercenaries coming later this month in Part 2 (~20th).They are a new experimental kit, modular with many part choices, what are your thoughts on them? how will you use them? should we make more (non range specific) experimental kits? :)All best,TMC

Hmm. I like how modular they look and how many options there are. I'm not sure this would fit in the flavor of any of my current armies, but I could easily see them as part of an art-deco type army or possibly something more modern as well. In any case, well done with these.

Michael Galosi

Going to use them as VR troopers to teach new games.

Thomas Surey-Gent

Hmmm, either alternate Stortroopers for my proxy Imperial Army, or maybe a gang of rouge men of iron in Necromunda :)

Carl lewis

I don’t have a use for them but I really like this design and will find a use for them. I think the occasionally experimental thing alongside the more range specific stuff is a great way to mix things up and also let your sculptors have some fun

De

With the right back pack they could be Guard in space suits, fighting on an outer hull of void ship over run by some bugs.... it can work. still say if you need a part time line do Penal Legion, its a full army, humans and ab-humans,

Jose Perez

Slightly more retro-futuristic (if that makes sense) weapons and they could be very fun for a one shot tabletop game.

vashshadow

Could be used for fear agent rpg

Kiko Robles

Really nice! IG proxy for a Kill Team. And yes, more experimental kits, please.

Adrian

1. I don't like the specific ones, I don't see any use, too much conversion. edit - ok i like them:) Like a box of great bolt action infantry 2. I really like the idea of "Infantry builder", genially that both hands are printed with the weapon (Valour Korps - Infantry Builder had it fucked up and VK - Engineers was a gamechanger) 3. I'd love to see base kits (more dead 40K Bretonnians - militians! - I have a great diorama outline for them) or the fallen VK - also a great addition to bases and terrains Maybe I'll make one 40k cyber assassin?

Daniel Burke

These are very cool, my first thought would be to use them for a small xenos army that uses guard rules in games.

Daniel Burke

If it wouldn't be too difficult to add, I would also appreciate separate weapons with only hands sculpted onto them, so that I could use the weapons for kitbashing.

Swampy Sam

I think non specific range models are great! Wonderfully done

Mike Michaels

I love these and would love a whole admech army based around them!!!!! I've had this vision of a retro scifi army for a while but lack the atritstic aptitude to pull it off.

Matt Dickerson

Modular and intercompatible kits like this are exactly why i got a 3D printer. they let you kitbash away some seriously awesome and unique armies and characters, and more variety is always welcome!

Matt Dickerson

Seperate weapons and hands would be great as well, as the more unique bits i can bash into other kits the better

Konstantin Dika

Definitely more experimental kits, and army builder kits!

Joseph Gilbert

I'm not sure how I'm going to use them yet but they look amazing!

WarriorPriest

If you gave them different weapons these would make for a killer start to a 1950's Scifi themed Necron army.

Joe Pilimai

These will make fantastic facility guards for a cyberpunk campaign I am building!!! Awesome!

scabrat

I love these! Please make more! I can think of several uses for these guys. Im new to this but this seems like it may be a good proxy for something like Pau Tathfinders in Till Keam ;). Or even Worge Forld.

Uncle Buck

Be fun for stargrave

Fancy_Man

These are a great replacement for some of the Privateer Press models for the Convergence of Cyriss! I've been waiting for a chance to add more minis and this will help a LOT

Richard Fortuna

One silly observation…why would robots need bedrolls on their backpacks? Just sayin’… 😜 Otherwise, I LOVE these!

Richard Fortuna

I would actually like to see more Tau-like weapons on these. I would totally love to make these into a Pathfinder Proxy Kill Team!

Jason Hay

These look fantastic!

Quinn Shaw

These are actually the models I was most excited for from this month's preview. I really liked the misc hazmat troops you did too, I'd love to see more experimental kits.

Charles Kinter

I love small kits with lots of weapon options.

Charles Kinter

Great for off necromunda gangs and miniature agnostic skirmish games

themakerscult

:D I had in mind it was a cloak, for blending in or wet weather. The bag being to hold ammo

Kronomoto

i really like them, I also would like to see a tau proxy army

Don Pikao

i love it, i want more robots like those !!!

David Eger

I like it, everyone and the mother is copying GW, it's nice to see something unique!

Johnathan Chambers

These are perfect for a homebrew D&D faction I needed minis for. I’m all for y’all doing some experimental kits. I think y’all have earned my trust on whatever you want to make at this point.

Luke Weinhagen

Fantastic creative palate cleaners. These guys will be fun in a campaign to throw in as a local PDF unit attached to my guard force. Gives me an excuse to use some deco terrain I have in the print queue. If you ever decide to expand on this one, a full art-deco/dieselpunk army would be a unique style and fun to paint.

aircrag5

any prosthesis like that for korps?

Martyr89

Do you do/like digital kitbashing? Cuz this sounds like a great idea! Blender is a good program for that

James Liapis

This may be one of the most amazing things ever! I would LOVE a full release of everything for this force.

Martyr89

Guys! This is so cool! It feels like you COULD use it for 40K, but these could definitely fit in a sci-fi game like Starfinder or something

FuriousE

They could be robots, but they could be troopers in space suits. I think they'd make great stormtroopers for an Inquisition force. There's great bits in there too for use in conversions.

Ben Medbury

Yeah I was thinking "faceless" special forces/black ops troops in the service of an Inquisitor wearing an advanced type of carapace armour.

Lachlan

Love them. I'd like a little more variety in heads, maybe, but I'll definitely print a couple.

Rob

I see guardsmen in void hardened armor. Just need the propper packs for that. Perhaps a head with a glass like faceplate? Loving your one off kits so far. Some of my favorites.

Stephan Bock

From a non-gamer modelling perspective I like those alot. The builders approach makes it alot easier to adapt the poses to my modelling needs (trying to tell a story) and the nonspecific approach on this set gives me alot of possibilities to use them (guarding, exploring, repairing, …). What I would like to see are more arms/hands options, that are not holding a weapon. And by that I dont mean the same arm hand with the weapon removed. There is a destinct difference in both arms and hands between holding a weapon, holding something heavy and relaxing. And (understandibly from the gaming view) most builders just do the weapons poses….

Gary Milburn

Love these. I'm getting more into miniature agnostic games like stargrave and 5 parsecs, these would be great for both, and also for kitbashing. More random ideas please!

Justin Farry

I've loved all the experimental kits that have been made. I'm all in favor of letting you guys be creative and making cool things

Axel H

Great stuff. Those will be helpful for anyone struggling to paint up platoons worth of infantry, as they are so well adapted for speedpainting techniques, and with a headswap could fit for (living) humanoid troops too. I´ll use them for my mechanicum army.

Will Nexii

these remind me immediately of miniatures for Infinity! I would love to see the squid game models expanded on as well as the rad-hazard troopers from last month too my request would be that for ones that seem to have struck a good vibe with patrons have some further development if possible

Nathan Dayton

Deco bot infantry and walker tanks? Hmmmmm....

Сол Фон

Droid army for WH40k? Or custom separatists troops from star wars? Skitarii? There are lots of ideas.

Rob

Agree with more arm poses, love to see for all of the kits for diorama building and customizing. Especially for those, me, who have no skill with 3d modeling.

Dean Grice

Subbed just for these bad boys, would it be possible to request a blank head without the eyes, if these are multishell i can sort that out my self

themakerscult

Not pictured. But there us also a cyclops eye head and head with no eyes :)

Dean Grice

Awesome stuff! thanks dude.

Nicolas Raoult

I would love to see more experimental sets. I also suggest expansing such concepts as mini-armies, with a modular hero and a modular vehicle. I would take the Elite Transport Vehicle for the Feudal Guard as an example: this one may be made either as a transport vehicle, a proxy tank or a missile launcher. Whenever such a mini-army concept would meet success, you may choose to expand it in future releases!
