It helps me stay on the side of optimism and dreams, even when the world is testing my resolve. It also reminds me to help make the world a better place, even when people might mock you for having your head in the clouds. Another quote from her work is "You could rattle the stars... you could do anything, if only you dared." I often shorten it to "rattle the stars" as a reminder to just, like the Shia you quoted, DO IT. As for Vans vs. Converse, the Vans I've owned have always been slightly less comfortable than my Converse, but they're both great. I do love the look of either "old skool" Vans or the all black Converse, but definitely low top. Also, side note: I really loved how you kept in the little bits of stretching and the word mixup ("pituitary gland") at the end. It made this feel even more like a casual conversation and just added to those relaxing vibes.

While listening i thought about the quote/ advice I always use to ground myself with which is, “it’s okay to be vulnerable.” I almost burst into tears when you ACTUALLY ended up talking about it towards the end. That question about being vulnerable sort of gave me a bit of an epiphany; I think for a lot of people who've survived or experienced trauma and especially prolonged trauma, the idea of being vulnerable with a partner has a lot to do with being open about that trauma, and the impact it's had on us. For people who maybe don't carry the same degree of trauma or who have effectively worked through a lot of their own trauma, being vulnerable with a partner may be more about being honest with them about how they feel for that person; it's not something I really fully got a grasp of until just now, that my closest relationships are with people I've trauma-bonded with- they're the people who I've entrusted the truth of my personal pain with and who have done the same in return with me, and that's always how I've developed a closeness with people. I wouldn't necessarily call it toxic per-say, but objectively it's bizarre to think that that's the only way I've really known how to built my own interpersonal relationships. Additionally, if I had to choose a moto or two to live by, one is the line from the song "Landslide" (not the Stevie Nicks song, though that's a favorite too lol, it's actually a song by a group called Oh Wonder) that goes "you'll find another life to live" ; the idea that there are always more choices for our own life path was something that really stuck with me. The second is a quote from Natasha Romanoff in the winter soldier that states "The truth is a matter of circumstance; it's not all things, to all people, all the time, and neither am I." That stuck with me because at the end of the day my truth will never be exactly the same as someone else's, and the way we're perceived by other people will never fully match our own truth, and that's okay. You don't owe anyone and idealized version of yourself- be who you want or need to be when you want or need to be, and go from there.

This comment is gonna be long and nerdy but I'm a linguistics minor and in my class right now we're talking a lot about voice mechanisms. A lot of us say that K's voice feels like we're getting a warm hug or makes us feel warm inside and calm, and there's actually a reason why it makes us feel that way. Besides the fact that women just prefer men with deep voices in general (well at least heterosexual women, as one study said), one psycholinguist said that overall a sexy voice is warm and inviting because it feels as if it's spoken from the chest rather than the head. Omg hi, I am a Linguistics minor as well (had it first as my major, but swapped my subjects), and, I realised that with the creaky voice as well! However, I am a bit worried about the creaky voice though. I am taking a lecture and a part of it was 'creaky voice'.
