Patreon Newsletter #62: December 2024 (Patreon)

HRR Updates/News:

We’re delighted to be returning to San Francisco Sketchfest this January 18th at 4pm at Gateway Theatre! You can find more info and tickets here: https://sfsketchfest.com/schedule-and-tickets/

There’s also a handful of tickets left for JoCo Cruise, March 2nd to March 9th, 2025: https://jococruise.com/

We guested this week on one of our favorite podcasts, Hollywood Handbook! You can listen here.

December's Review Crew episode on...ugh...Hot Frosty...will either be released on Monday 12/16 or Monday 12/23 due to some holiday travel messing with our schedules.

The December Review Crew holiday gift exchange/JPC birthday live-stream will be Monday December 16th from 8pm to 9pm CST.

Starting in the new year, we will offer discounted yearly subscriptions for the Patreon. Potentially good news to anyone outside the US paying those pesky transaction fees.

Casey Toney and the folks that brought you NeoScum have just launched a new narrative horror-comedy podcast called GUTTER! GUTTER is a super high production value show set in a post-disaster Pacific Northwest littered with paranormal mysteries. It's crass and chaotically funny, and full to the brim with thrills, chills, and kills. Casey does some next-level sound design on this one and we encourage you to check it out! GUTTER is available anywhere you get your podcasts or at gutter.show

If you didn't see our latest merch drops, you can check out the Uncle Mumbles and Little Monkey Bones merch at our TeePublic store

Other Stuffs:

Made some quick trips with Jemma this month: NYC (to meet our new nephew and see Ragtime, Stereophonic and Sunset Blvd.), Tulum (for a beautiful wedding) and New Orleans (for a birthday celebration and to gain 15 pounds of pure seafood).

We’re trying to figure out if we can make a quick jaunt to Quebec City before the year is out. If you have any recommendations for QC please send them my way!

Drove with my sister to Kohler, Wisconsin last week just to visit their incredible glass cafe, The Greenhouse. For a town full of toilets, there’s a lot of charm to be found.

Enjoying the books Bandit Heaven by Tom Clavin and Joyful Recollections of Trauma by Paul Scheer (we should try and have him on Hey Riddle soon….)

Most importantly; this month Jemma and I officially adopted Martini (aka ‘Tini Weenie)! In October we took him in for foster care so he wouldn’t be euthanized and fell in love with the lil guy. He’s the only cat I’ve ever met who gives hugs. Like will actually wrap his paws around you and squeeze. He was found with his tail mangled so he had to have it amputated down to a nub, which can cause some balance issues - but we adore this tiny sweetheart and have adopted him and the term ‘Gotta Lub the Nub’. If it all worked out he should be gracing the cover of this newsletter!

From JPC:

Hey Riddiots,

Not much from me for this month. If you're in Chicago, come see Whirled News Tonight at iO some Saturday night. I just put the new cast together and they are stellar. The show is at 8pm every week in  December but we are moving to 7:30pm starting January 4th.
