I used to spend all my time at Dave and Busters at the Skeeball machines. 😁 My kid always knew where to find me. Lol! From my understanding, at least at the one we used to go to, kids were kicked out after 10pm.

I actually used to work as a game tech at Dave and Busters so I have a bit of insider info. The games do go out all the time just from constant use. I remember we had a standing repair list of things that needed to be done, but the games should have been working better than what JPC was describing. Most of the repair list was shit like broken lightbulb, or faded sign. Game breaking things were usually resolved pretty quickly. That said if games ever break on you try to find a game tech, it’s part of their job to make sure you have a good time. They can get you free games, and if they’re feeling generous you might even end up with some extra tickets if they “accidentally” bump some coins while clearing a jam. Also their marketing is explicitly targeted at young adults. They want 20 something’s to party there. However, in my time there it was usually adults who needed a drink but didn’t want to neglect their kids.

The non-alcoholic Heineken must be bad because the 7-11 by my house has had two six-packs of it next to the register for like, two months, and every time you go in they try to give you one for free but as of the last time I was there, both six-packs were completely full.
