Autumnis_Prime

i’m glad i wasn’t the only one who immediately began to question if mice eat nuts

nini

You guys really do talk a lot about Angels and Demons.

raf aka ryan aka raf

The 2 and a half minutes at the end of goofing on Dan Brown was iconic and I would listen to a full episode of just that

Say it

King Ralph was way more than thirteenth in line

Ben!

Saw title and i was hoping for a pittsburgh heavy pennsylvania ep! Lol

(Pirate King) Darrin

Wait a second.... this gruffalo story... it is almost exactly the same as a Korean story I grew up with wtf

Mario Granola

The dads name in the first book is pronounced “trig-vay” it’s Norwegian - I know this because I had a friend growing up who’s fathers name was Tryggve and his name was Tryggveson!

Ron

I actually really like the idea of all of them reading a portion of the same book and reporting on it (20:43).

James Quinn

The Gruffalo DOES slap! I love reading that business in a nasty nasty voice when the Gruffalo shows up and scare my children... You'd look good on a slice of bread!

Christopher

Mabel and the Sock Pirates is another good one if you like Room on the Broom!

Cleric_Eros

PLEASSSEEEE DO COLLEEN HOOVER NEXT

goobercheese

This is a wild title considering Aaron Rodgers just got signed by Pittsburgh

Sunny K

My little siblings used to have the Room on the Broom animated short on TV nearly every day when I’d come home from work for about a year and a half. It was cute as hell, with a STACKED cast, all of whom said at max 2 one-sentence lines each

Mike Furbush

I do a VERY performative rendition of Room on the Broom almost weekly. The dragon lines get guttural and brutal before the sweet, sweet dog, bird, frog and cat save the day. These books are not to be taken lightly.

Sunny K

ALSO that name Trygve at the beginning is pronounced something like “trig-vuh”—Norwegian input and criticism welcome

Evan Estrada

I was going deliver yall some D.S. type books at the Portland or Seattle show. I have a few that are MT based. Very fun reads.

Hey Riddle Riddle

better to mail them! Please don't give us a bunch of books while we are living out of suitcases.

Holy shit, it's been ages since I've thought about the Gruffalo. I still remember the melody 🎶 He has knobbly knees and turned-out toes / and a poisonous wart on the end of his nose / he's the Gruffalo 🎶

Ren Brian

Maria Bamford has a joke about how her husband built them a free little library and she gets a dark look on her face and says “we got Dan Browned”

Andy Velwest

Poseidon adventure on review crew and I will up my game in patreon. Iconic movie and gene Hackman ruled

Ben

Episode came out on my birthday and first book they do came out the year I was born. Guess I own this episode now how do I claim my bingo money

Cory Morgan

To answer Erin, the amazing thing about The Gruffalo (book by Julia Donaldson) is that there is in fact a sequel, called The Gruffalo’s Child. Also apparently the Gruffalo is a single dad to his daughter, the “child”.

Heidi Nehls

A friend of mine recently said “There really are books for every IQ level.”

DrewishKing

Seeing a veteran return to their puppy can make me cry but also the news can. What kind of cry did Steele make?

Zozzleberry Fin

I cannot stress enough how apt it is that JPC buys and reads to his child books about the virtues of lying.

Risotto

Grüffelo mention!! Whoooo!!!!!! I recommend the second book, it's about his kid

Cyberhippo

Not A Box is a brilliant kids book. Who Moved My Cheese is a child-like book for the metaphorically challenged to demonstrate why capitalism has limits.

Dalton

In case anyone cares, Trygve is pronounced TRIG-vee
