I just learned about clown archetypes recently, and the difference between the three stooges (I think) is that: Curly is the “Auguste” clown, Moe is the “Shiteface” clown, and Larry is the “Counter-auguste” clown. this basically means that Curly is the lowest status of the group, who gets shit on by the others all the time. Moe is relatively the high status one, who bosses the other two ‘knuckleheads’ around; he is the most serious and uptight. and then Larry is basically the middle class one; this means he typically will try to coast off Curly’s incompetence and be sucking up to Moe (so maybe he’ll be like ‘yeah! what’s your problem Curly?!’). that being said, I don’t really know that much about clowns. or the three stooges. so maybe this is all nonsense. just going off of vibes I’ve gotten through osmosis.
