I really commend you for apologizing and publicly being honest! Understanding parasocial relationships when you’re in the loving fan side is so hard. But these hosts make it clear how much they’re real people who let us listen in on their friendship (which happens to be exceptionally funny). But we are not actually their friends, nor are they our imaginary friends in our headphones we can treat any way our feelings urge us to. My biggest fear (because it is such a source of joy!) is they decide HRR isn’t worth making anymore because of the abuse from the people who actually love this content. So, from a fellow fan, thank you for owning it, and for doing the work to think differently about it.
