We are finally doing it. After talking about seemingly nothing else for months, we are reviewing the first episode of the Reacher tv show.

I watched the movie you refer to at the start, War Machine. I found it a fun, mindless, flagrant military propaganda action movie with surprisingly beautiful cinematography (including an impressive avoidance of nauseating shakeycam even in intense action scenes). It's probably not gonna leave any significant mark, personally or culturally, but it's a decent enough popcorn flick.

Wesley Farber

Hearing that origin story for name Reacher has me sad we don't live in the world where we got "Jack Grabit" instead.

GayWeiner420

Hopefully with Erin on board we'll see more Reacher content in the trivia games. Who doesn't love a good Reacher round?

Miranda Frescoln

really appreciate Erin treating this as a anthropological study of Straight Men. she’s very diligent in her data-gathering.

Chip

24:55 The irony is that some man DID try to fight Alan Ritchson in real life literally a week ago and obviously got his shit rocked.

Benjamin P Parson Gomberg

It’s a testament to how he’s conducted himself that my first thought on seeing the story was “there’s gotta be another side to this.” And then the rest of the footage came out and pretty much vindicated he was the aggrieved party and not the aggressor.

Nick Myers

I'm 2 mins into Reacher that that man is disgustingly hot

Chip

100% agree. Really seems like the other guy was trying to set Alan up to look like a real asshole. I just think it’s a little bit funny that the show seems so absurd with everyone trying to fight Reacher all the time, but turns out, not so far-fetched. There really are people out there who look at this jacked human and think “I can take him”.

Autumnis_Prime

i see what you did there gayweiner420

Kate

Figures Adal and JPC have seen Reacher already, it’s peak Dad Programming.

Adin A

How is no one mentioning Alan Ritchson in Blue Mountain State? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills

GayWeiner420

It feels good to be appreciated in my time

MaxMin

I will never remember this is not that John Krasinski show

Alex Sorensen

I just was explaining the show to my wife because they convinced me to watch it with that episode and she said "Oh I think I've heard of that, its the one with Jim from the office." So you're not alone

Alex Sorensen

This type of show is so outside of the stuff that I generally like, and I've now watched two episodes of it because of this review crew and, yeah, it's honestly awesome.

Masha Beletsky

I've been reading the Reacher novels after hearing JPC talk about them all the time, and this inspired me to make my partner watch the show with me! Would love to hear reviews of all the episodes, I enjoy the commentary!

Rocket Cambria

No but for real, it really is so funny

Rocket Cambria

This review crew has been such a delight, and now I've watched Season 1. I'm 1000% with Erin on this - this rules, Adal and JPC are so back, let's fucking go. My dad loves the Reacher series, he's told me about the books & show so many times, I even watched a couple episodes of season 3 with him. (I also kind of love 4DX tho)
