Guess what we'll be watching in August?! We promise next month to have a variety of options from streaming sites (so that folks ideally don't have to rent it if they want to watch along with us). Let us know anything you'd like to see in a future poll here!

Even though it’s a very small, maybe not interesting pool: Netflix originals are best for international listeners too. Prime originals a little less so, Hulu none.

David N

Because the third option is winning, does that mean y'all will watch it 3 times?

David Currie

I picked the third at random and its the most popular, gotta be some weird decision theory here

Sam Campos

I thought I had a stroke for a moment

Heather B

I was just about to say I feel like I'm part of a hive mind because I picked the 3rd option. What psychology is this?!

Sarah Fulk

FINALLY. I've been voting for this every week for ages, it's really not a bad movie!

justoneman

I’m going to vote for Murder Mystery (Adam Sandler Netflix original movie) because that’s what I wanted all along, and not because you told me to.

David N

3 hosts, 3rd option, I swear there's something there

Not a Cat

So this is how Liberty dies... With thunderous applause.

Suley rhymes with Julie

Airplane is on Netflix rn. 90 minutes and SO funny. Watch it as it is under the umbrella of sketch comedy? Also social commentary? Pleaaaaaase

Thomas Flott

Have you guys considered watching Murder Mystery???

Adam

The answer is always C

Kona Goodhart

Would love to hear you all talk about Knives Out at some point, but that would be a rental. BBC Sherlock is on Netflix -- it would be fun to hear how that one has aged, given how fresh and hot it was at the time it came out.

Ben Andersen

This requires penance. I suggest the options for next month include the Oxford dictionary (unabridged of course), which meets the criteria by including words like "riddle" and "puzzle".

David N

I second this

David N

Ok, but like, I really want to know why C is winning by so much. It's important to me now. Why did people that didn't vote for it pick a different one?

Gavin Crenshaw

It's weird that the rest of season 1 of Riverdale isn't an option

Iamthesteve

I changed my vote to be with the majority.

Jessica

I knew everyone would have picked C so I avoided that impulse and picked A to be different.

Maddie

How about Fincher's The Game for a future review? You don't need to punish yourselves.

Rob Roberts

This is the future that Demolition Man predicted but instead of all Taco Bells it's THIS.

Will Bussey

I don’t know exactly how this would work but the game The Witness would be so cool to hear you guys talk about!! Or a twitch stream where the three of you play it would fuck hard

Meggo

Ffs

Meggo

Let’s do a watch party

Kyle Harrison

If any of them have prime video, Knives Out is currently included with the subscription. It's not accessible to everyone though and idk about international listeners

Jacob Cutts

Because everyone always chooses C

Burwinkle Hendershot

I'd really love to see you review the mystery/thriller "The Spanish Prisoner", directed by David Mamet and starring Campbell Scott and Steve Martin.

Jonathan Casali

I would love to hear what you folks think of “The Westing Game” by Ellen Raskin. It is a YA mystery book that was one of my favorites as a kid. I still revisit it every so often, and I still love it.

zsoltus

I loved this book! I've still got it on a bookshelf somewhere.

raf aka ryan aka raf

PLEASE do Galavant, or at least watch it on your own for fun. It's so so good

Danger Horse Press

I voted for Murder Mystery because I like to root for the underdog.

SpencerC

Damn I always see these a day late and I really wanted murder mystery to win

resnet

this is like marble racing

Legotti

You all had wanted stuff everyone could watch, so I’m recommending Without a Clue again but with a YouTube link! Ben Kingsley and Michael Caine in a comedic Sherlock Holmes take. https://youtu.be/v_EgFD-wz-A

Legotti

The American dvd releases had cropped video so don’t feel bad about watching the original online
